2) Round Flutes with orwithout Glaze Notch

Round Glaze Flute (RGF): This notch was added as a place for Flow Pen Glaze to be applied. See Section R3 of the Product Specifications Catalog for more information on Glaze.Fluted Moldings and Intregal Rout Patterns are available with or without a notch for glazing, with different flute size options.

3) Flute Spacing The standard spacing between each flute is ⅜" with a minimum of ¼", and the minimum flat on each end is ¼".

4) Start/StopPattern

Fluted Molding Start and Stop Pattern (SSP) Options are shown on the previous page. Choosing a flute start/stop pattern (SSP) option will determine if your fluted molding is Full Length (FL) or Not Full Length (NFL). For example, the SSP200 pattern will run the full length of the molding when this pattern is specified for both the top & bottom of the molding.

5) OrderingTo order: Note Standard Round (ex: #700-06RF) or Glaze Notch (ex: #700-06RFG) flutes, the size of the molding (W x L), the flute size, the number of flutes (see chart on previous page for guidelines), your flute start/stop pattern (SSP) and any additional options required.

6) Flute Depth

Solid Wood Round Flutes: Flute depth is half of the flute width. Solid Wood Round Glaze Flutes: Flute depth will be the same as Round Flutes, but is mea-sure from the bottom of the Glaze Notch. Overall depth from the face of molding will be 1/16" deeper than Round Flutes.Raw MDF Round / Round Glaze Flutes: Flute depths will match those of solid wood.Raw MDF Round Flutes with 3D Laminate: Flute depth will be approximately half of the solid wood flutes. Round flutes with 3D Laminate are not available with glaze notch.

7) Molding WidthFluted Moldings over 6" in width may be produced from a glued up panel, due to lumber avail-ability (this does not apply to Paint, Budget, Rustic and Knotty grades of material). Full Length (FL) moldings over 9" wide, may require customization.

All Fluted Molding designs can be ordered in raw MDF: • Fluted Moldings with 3D Laminate (RTF) are only available with Standard Round Flutes (Ex: #700-06RF). Round flutes with the Glaze Notch (ex: #700-06RFG) are not available in 3D Laminate/RTF. • If ordering 3D Laminate, please specify the back as being either white or almond melamine or matching 3D Laminate/RTF. • The maximum length for raw MDF is 96". • The maximum length for 3D Laminate/RTF is 90". • Only available in ¾" and 1" thicknesses. • Note: D7 is not available on products using 3D Laminate (RTF). D33 will be used instead.

8) Thickness & LengthFluted moldings are available ¾", 1" and 1¼" thick and have a maximum length of 96". Lengths greater than 96" (with a maximum of 120") are available for some wood species. Please contact our Customer Support Team for more information.

9) Outside Edge Options D7 is the standard outside edge.

10) Flow Pen Glaze Flow Pen Glaze is available when ordering Fluted Moldings and/or Intregal Rout Patterns with the Glaze Notch.

11) 45° & 90° Inside and Outside Corner Options

Refer to Section F2 for Miscellaneous Joinery Options to create columns with your Fluted Moldings.

12) Integral Rout Pattern

Flute size for the Integral Rout Patterns will match the size specified for the SSP pattern, on your fluted molding. If you are not using an NFL pattern with your Integral Rout, please specify the flute width.Overall width and height dimensions will match the overall width of the SSP pattern, on your fluted molding. If you are not using an NFL pattern with your Integral Rout, please specify the overall dimension of the Integral Rout. The minimum size required for the flat surface on each side of the Integral Rout is ¼".

13)Fluted Molding with Integral Rout Ordering Guidelines

Specify the Integral Rout Pattern: IR100 or IR200. See examples on previous page. Note Standard Round (ex: IR100-RF) or Glaze Notch (ex: IR100-RFG) flutes.Specify the measurement from the top or bottom of the #700 molding to the center of the Integral Rout Pattern.Specify the “Start & Stop Pattern” (SSP) for your fluted molding.Specify the “Start & Stop” measurement for the NFL flute pattern.
