I am so excited to launch “Accelerate: A maga-zine for women entrepreneurs on the fast track to success”!

Some of you may know, I started my career on Wall Street. After over 20 successful years, I knew deep down something was missing. My life had changed, and I felt like I needed to turn my skills into some-thing of my own.

I’m sure you get that.

After lots of self reflection, I started my own busi-ness. I help coaches, consultants and practitioners discover their “Zone of Genius” so that they can serve at a high level; package their services for six-figure profits (and beyond!); have time to work, time to play, time to give and time to receive.

This magazine was created to share similar stories and experiences of people, just like you and me, who created business success in their lives. These top notch professionals I’ve sourced as the best in their respective fields. They are going to share stories and insights for the fast path to success. They will the steps they’ve taken and the lessons they’ve learned about being a business owner and what it takes to do what you love and share that with the world. Oh, yeah, and to make some kickin’ money while doing what you love.

Be inspired by them. Learn from them. And most of all, apply the tips they share to your own life and business to witness the miraculous change we all call “success”! Go ahead, put your seatbelt on and enjoy the ride....get ready to Accelerate!

Last year I had the worst and best year of my life! (Yes it’s possible.)

I fell in love.

And then…

My business fell apart.

It’s was my third year in business and it started off great. I had... • a full roster of clients• new ideas for programs launches• scheduled speaking opportunities

I was on track to multiple six figures for my third year.

BUT… I wanted to make more room for my new relationship. And I thought my team was ready. Nothing like love calling to show you where your business needs to uplevel to run without you.

My team wasn’t able to keep up with existing or new client work. • The newsletter and marketing didn’t

get sent on time• Contracts never got sent and my cli-

ents were onboarded 72 hours late. • Project deadlines were completely

missed.

But wait...it got worse:

Some of my clients were charged twice.

All these misses meant I lost one of my biggest contracts.

I Needed My Business to Grow Enough to Handle

M Y L I F E

MY BUSINESS GREW faster than I could handle.

AND I NEEDED my busi-ness to grow enough to handle my life.

AFTER RETURNING FROM an amazing 3 week trip to London & Paris with my love, I lost a $3,500 per month client, refunded a total of $5,000 to three clients in one month, and put off a launch that could of brought in $10K in revenue.

THERE WAS NO mental space or capac-ity to launch new projects, so I didn’t, and in addition to losing money, I left money on the table.

I WAITED YEARS to finally be in love,

have the flexibility to travel, and to own a successful business.

IT STARTED TO feel like I couldn’t have the best of both worlds… happy busi-

ness + happy life.

𝟙 Halt taking in new business and fix the foundation as quickly as possible. I stopped taking cli-ents immediately and sent a notice to my existing clients letting them know about the breakdowns and that there maybe a delay in project work.

This allowed me time get to the source of the breakdowns, while setting client expecta-tions appropriately and protecting my brand. This is a huge mistake I see people make with their clients when things are out of the office, trying to cover it up instead of reset-ting expectations.

𝟚 Systems OverhaulThis situation gave me the chance to see exactly where the systems I cre-ated couldn’t work without me. I fixed each breakdown in my teams communication process so that they no longer needed me to execute on our re-curring deliverables.

𝟛 Let go of the weakest linksMost people start here. But the truth is, you don’t want to fire anyone until you’re clear it’s them and not the system setting them up to fail. Once I fixed my systems, they immediately revealed who on my team wouldn’t make it to the next level with me. It was hard to part ways, but I could see hav-ing them on my team meant I would con-tinue to lose money as long as my system was working again.

𝟜 Then I got to work on bringing in New Revenue. New revenue is about cleaning up the money you are leaving on the table, making time to be creative and have a life, and getting your new ideas out into the world fast.

After this, I had space to take on the right clients that could bring in an average of $10k per month in revenue. My team was re-trained to work on their own, which al-lowed me free time to travel to London. Now am spending less time working on cli-ent projects and more time developing new content and programs, and building my busi-ness.

HELLO, I’M SONAYA WILLIAMS. CREATOR OF THE BUSINESS AUTOMATOR + NEW REVENUE SPECIALIST.

MY MISSION?

To get you the right tech tools that will free you up so you can get productive doing the work that you love.

See, I believe when you have the right systems, you will end the day to day chaos preventing them from having the real success they want.

YOU SHOULDN’T SPEND YOUR TIME OR ENERGY ON THINGS YOU CAN DELEGATE OR AUTOMATE.

AND THAT’S MY AREA OF EXPERTISE.

As your New Revenue Specialist, I help you stop leaving money on the table. And not only keep more of it in your pocket by better using your time, but make more of it. I’ve helped my clients:-make an additional $35K, -ditch 5-7 hours a week of busy work with the right tools, -hire team members to support and run their busi-ness without them.

My corporate background—which includes project management, web design, IT and business process management—has uniquely qualified me to strategi-cally restructure your business.

SAVING YOU TIME, AND KEEPING MORE MONEY IN YOUR POCKET.

As a project manager, I mastered the art of plan-ning—keeping projects on track and effectively com-municating client expectations. Later, on IT help desks supporting the customers of major companies, I learned to explain technology in a way that made sense to people.

BUT IT WAS IN BUSINESS PROCESS MANAGEMENT THAT I FOUND MY PASSION. Here, I learned every-thing from automating processes to enhancing the entire customer experience. I designed unique sys-tem solutions, created step-by-step detailed docu-mentation, and train teams on how to deliver effec-tively.

My obsession with technology isn’t new. When it comes to gadgets, I become rapidly addicted to anything new—currently, I’m inseparable from my iPhone and Macbook. And, when it comes to new software, I’m THAT person—you know, the one who submits feedback about what doesn’t work when it comes to the user interface and overall functionality. What else? Wellllll, I adore white-chocolate covered strawberries, dancing ‘til my feet hurt, and exoctic excursions with my man.

But most of all? I looove helping you end the day to day chaos that keeps you from making the impact and the money you know you’re capable of.

Have you ever given someone a juicy referral, weeks or months went by and you wondered, “What ever happened to that lead?” As great relationship marketers we don’t want to leave our referral sources wondering. Keep them posted. Let them know how the relationship is going and that you’re taking excellent care of their contact. This instantly raises your level of professionalism, while keeping you top of mind.So why does all of this matter? Because we live in an age of superficial connections and people are desperate to feel connected in a personal way. Yes, social media and email are a great ways to quickly keep in touch, but if you want to really stand out, inject personal notes, personal calls and gifts of gratitude into your marketing and you will see faster success than ever before.According to Dan Kennedy, well-known marketing advisor, stated “sixty eight percent of clients who leave do so because they feel unappreciated, unimportant, and taken for granted.” Well now you have some tools to ensure that this doesn’t happen to you. Not only will you retain your ex-isting clients, but they will rave about how amaz-ing you are to do business with. They’ll tell others about you producing a steady stream of referrals throughout the coming months. Why? Because the “ROI is Always in the Relationship”

1 Spend mar-keting dollars on existing clientsSo many entrepre-neurs get caught up in chasing new leads and new clients. They pour hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars in to new business acquisition. But guess what? Existing clients and relationships are an untapped goldmine for success! Use your marketing budget this year to engage, value, and appreciate your people and you will see greater success.

2 Send per-sonal notesSince we live and work in a digitally-crazed world, one way to im-mediately stand out from your competition is to use personally, handwritten notes as a powerful marketing strategy. Use notes to thank people for this business. Ditch the “dear valued cli-ent” letters and form emails. Let people know just how spe-cial they are and how much you appreciate their patronage. Why is this so powerful? No-body does it! Not only that, sincere, personal notes have a long shelf life. People hold on to them because they’re such a hot commodity. This is one of the least expensive and most impactful opportunities you have for the year ahead.

3 Past pa-tronage apprecia-tionThe reality is that no matter how good we are at what we do and no matter how thrilled our clients are with our services, they will forget about us. It’s our job as bright and successful business women to stay top of our clients’ mind so they don’t slip away. A great way to increase retention and gener-ate repeat business is to express grati-tude for past clients. For instance, if you worked with someone six months ago and haven’t been in touch, be sure to reach out. Send a personal note or give them a call. Let them know you value your past business. Ask what’s new in their world? And, let them know you would love to opportunity to earn their business again.

4 Express humilityHumility is the secret sauce to building ex-cellent relationships. Express gratitude when you don’t get the business. That’s right! When someone comes to you, you do an initial consultation with them, and they decide to go else-where… send them a personally-handwritten note. I call this taking a slice of humble pie. No one does this and you’ll blow them away. Use this strategy when you’ve requested speaking time at a conference. Perhaps you’ve connected with the event organizer and you’ve been told that there aren’t any spots left or that it isn’t a great fit. If you truly believe you can serve their audience, graciously follow up with a “Humble Pie” note. Let them know you appreciate their consideration and look forward to the possibil-ity of partnering the in future. This single >

5 Strengthen your referral partnerships Your strategic alliances are people who serve your audience, but don’t compete with you. Send flowers. Send a gift card. Or, send a box of chocolates to ensure they feel valued. Your referral sources are natural givers. The more they feel you appreciate the partner-ship, the more referrals they will send your way. SPENDTHRIFT SALLY

W HETHER YOU JUST started your busi-ness or have been in it for decades, you want to grow it, and you want to grow it fast. You may worry about the economy, sales, marketing, or the competition—and

yet, the biggest threat to your business isn’t out there. Believe it or not, it’s your own fears, insecurities, and unaddressed issues about money undermining your every step.

YOU’VE HAD A relationship with money your whole life. In fact, it’s a very deep connection that was established when you were just a kid. Growing up, you developed beliefs and patterns about money, which have shaped the relationship you have with money today.

THIS RELATIONSHIP WITH money affects every area of your

life, which most definitely includes your business success.

MY MISSION IS to help you acknowledge and address your current money habits and patterns that can sabotage your per-sonal—and professional life.

THE BEST WAY to identify these patterns is to understand the “5 Money Types” and the beliefs and behaviors associated

with each. While you will have some characteristics of each of these different types, you will likely discover that one or two are more dominant.

KNOWING THE PATTERNS associated to the types helps you overcome money issues and accelerate success; so, you can go take care of business.

My goal is to help you acknowledge and address your own money habits and ongoing patterns that can sabotage your personal life... and your professional one.

MASTER YOUR MONEY, ACCELERATE YOUR SUCCESS

HOW IMPROVING YOUR MONEY HABITS CAN HELP YOU BREAKTHROUGH IN YOUR BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING THE 5 MONEY TYPES TO BREAKTHROUGH IN YOUR BUSINESS

BY ROBYN CRANE

BEHAVIORS:

Spendthrift Sally tends to spend a lot of money. She is an impul-sive and compulsive buyer. She justifies her purchases because they’re on sale or she claims it’s something she really needs.

In business, Spendthrift Sally tends to throw money at problems. She may get a new computer, printer, or may even join many net-working groups, believing that the more she spends, the more it will help her business.

BELIEFS:

If you’re like Spendthrift Sally, you may believe money solves problems. You may believe you deserve to buy that ‘thing,’ and that you need it to grow your business. You may also believe that someone else will take care of you; somehow the money will never run out or simply that ‘it will all work out.’

ACTION STEP FOR SPENDTHRIFT SALLY:

Look at your ROI (Return On Investment) and track your “Business Money MaSK™ ” — How much you Make, Spend & Keep to give you clarity about whether your expenses are actually making you money. Acquire valuable assets, which will help you grow your business and avoid buying liabilities, which are costs to your business.

BEHAVIORS:

Typically, Cheap Chip likes to save money, even hoard it. When he does spend money, he often feels worried or anxious. He doesn’t like to “throw money away” on things he doesn’t really value.

In business, Cheap Chip considers value when making buying decisions. He may do a lot of research before making a purchase and is looking for a good deal. He may be afraid of investing or spending money on anything that doesn’t guarantee results. He also may have trouble charging a lot of money (what he’s worth) because he assumes people are conscious of cost (like him).

BELIEFS::

Cheap Chip has a scarcity mentality and believes he doesn’t have enough. If you’re like Cheap Chip, you may believe that taking risk is scary or dangerous. You may believe that security is important, and that you must have total certainty before taking action. You believe in being ‘smart’ about your money, which means spend-ing as little as possible and being conscientious.

ACTION STEP FOR CHEAP CHIP:

Adopt a risk-reward mindset. Stop playing it so safe and invest in growing your business. For example, hire a coach or purchase leads to help you exponentially grow your business. There may not be an immediate ROI, but commit to it consistently and be patient. Have more faith in yourself and your investments and focus more on abundance as opposed to scarcity.

Overgenerous Olivia is a giver. She is overgenerous and it’s often at her own expense. She doesn’t focus much on what she doesn’t have. She focuses on others and assumes she’ll be fine.

In business, Overgenerous Olivia often gives her time away for free. She doesn’t really value her own worth, which makes it hard for her to ask for money. She doesn’t charge what she’s worth and often seeks approval before taking action.

BELIEFS:

If you’re like Overgenerous Olivia, you may believe that you’re sup-posed to be successful, but deep down you don’t feel you deserve it. You may believe you have to prove your value before accept-ing money. You may be afraid of losing clients or of pushing them away. You don’t want to be salesy, you just want to help people and expect your clients to pay you even when you don’t ask.

ACTION STEP FOR OVERGENEROUS OLIVIA:

Stop giving away your time for free or for less than you’re worth. Raise your rates with your next client. Collect the money up front, then overdeliver by adding even more value. You’ll get a better-quality client by charging higher rates. They will value your help much more and get better results.

Delusional Dan typically pretends to be more successful than he actually is. He puts up a good front and thinks he’s fooling people. But most can see through Delusional Dan’s ways. Despite the luxury watches, cars, and clothes, they don’t completely trust him.

Because of this, in business, Delusional Dan may have trouble closing the sale. He makes big promises, but some prospects are a bit skeptical about the deliverables.

Delusional Dan also has a tendency to jump at opportunities. He buys impulsively, convincing himself that “THIS” is what will sky-rocket his business.

BELIEFS:

If you’re like Delusional Dan, you may believe that you can make it big, but deep down you have a lot of self doubt. You believe you need to act successful to be successful, and may also think that you need to be perfect before putting the real, authentic you on the line.

ACTION STEP FOR DELUSIONAL DAN:

Create a detailed action plan and follow through. Give yourself specific actions to take and set deadlines. Believe in yourself and remember you don’t need all the fancy stuff to succeed. Just step up, follow through, and put yourself out there. Beware of ‘pimping your business.’ (Buying expensive things to look cool, but don’t increase your revenue.)

Avoider Al doesn’t see what’s really going on. He typically gets anxious or worried about money, and so he avoids it.

In business, Avoider Al may avoid anything he doesn’t like to do. He tends to shy away from the numbers, and might make excuses as to why tracking and measuring isn’t important. Avoider Al may avoid making phone calls, asking for money, or networking. He may waste time doing things that are not productive for his business, like wasting time on non-money making activities.

BELIEFS:

If you’re like Avoider Al, you may believe it’s too painful to face the truth. You might believe that burying your head in the sand is safer than dealing with reality. You may believe that you’re not good at certain things and if you just ignore them, they might go away.

ACTION STEP FOR AVOIDER AL:

No matter how painful you think it will be, you have to be honest about your situation and deal with it. This means looking at the numbers, making calls you don’t want to make, taking risks, and mea-suring results. Get help with the stuff that overwhelms you. You can outsource the things you hate doing, but you must stay involved at some level to truly have success.

Recognizing money habits, patterns, beliefs, and behaviors within these Money Types will help you breakthrough in your business. Remember, don’t judge yourself or make yourself wrong. You don’t need to change who you are. You are perfect. All you need to do is acknowledge what is holding you back, take appropriate action, and success is yours for the taking!

USING PROFESSIONALS TO HELP YOU LOOK INTO A CRYSTAL BALL.

YO U D O N ’ T K N OW W H AT YO U D O N ’ T K N OW:

D on’t you wish you had a crystal ball that would let you see the future of your business; what issues you might face;

and what the best way is to ensure its success? There may be no crystal ball, but there may be a better way to “know what you don’t know.” KNOW WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW.

WE have all heard the expression, “You don’t know what you don’t

know.” We probably have no idea who first coined it. But, it must be kept in mind when you want something done right RIGHT, especially some-thing like starting and running a successful business.

As you step into your role as a business owner and leader, there are many unknowns that you will have to deal with. Planning properly can help you reduce the negative effects of the unknowns. Just as you know your target demographic, your ideal client, and your cost of goods sold, you also need to consider and know the often obscure issues related to taxes, employees, copyrights, contracts, and countless other things. Professionals, mentors, and advisors can help you identify potentially-hidden issues and help you reach your goals quicker and with less head-ache than if you tried to do it all alone.

PROFESSIONALS CAN BE A PROFIT CENTER (PROACTIVE) RATHER THAN AN EXPENSE (REACTIVE):

Most business owners I meet have it wrong. They see professionals and advisors as an expense. They retain a professional only once they feel they are in immediate need of a spe-cific service or once they have been forced into hiring one by an external influence in a reactive role.

Successful business owners use professionals and advisors to ADD value to their business. They see professionals as an opportunity for growth, a way of making sure that the ‘unknowns’ are covered by someone in a proactive role who does DOES know.

Just like in medicine, preventative, proactive care is the best solu-tion for your business. You go for a yearly checkup. You monitor your blood pressure. You exercise and eat well to ensure (or at least reduce the chances) that you will need to rush to the emergency room.

It makes good sense to treat your business with similar sensibilities. Build your team of professionals to increase your chances of success and reduce issues, such as:

• Choosing an available busi-ness name before infringing on another.• Forming the proper entity for your business;• Forming your corporation properly before the state comes to you with penalties; • Drafting client service con-tracts before your clients stiff you or expect more than what they paid for; • Classifying workers as employ-ees or independent contractors

before you are hit with fines and penalties;• Ensuring all the work done by your employees and indepen-dent contractors is owned by you before they hold your website up for ransom;• Ensuring contracts and agree-ments memorialize the agreement you believe you are agreeing to;• Drafting a proper partnership agreement before finding yourself at odds with one another and the business in a standstill; • Using your content and brand strategically to open additional revenue streams or to bring about new partnerships and affiliates;• Developing policies and pro-cedures to preserve your business trade secrets and other intellectual property;• Planning for someone else to take over your business in the future, whether through a sale or by passing control on to heirs.

Unfortunately business plans are not one size fits all. Your friend’s contract or the tax information you found in your online search may have worked for another busi-ness, but each business has its own set of circumstances, intricacies, goals, and visions that may require an expert’s perspective for proper planning and execution.

The reason to hire an attorney, such as myself, is to be proactive and to prevent costly, stressful, and time-consuming errors and issues later on that will not only consume your money, but your time.

You don’t know what you don’t know. So, work with someone who does know. Working with profes-sionals can give you an idea of what to expect so you can avoid issues, and make better, quicker,

more informed, and more profitable decisions.

Building a business is a team effort. In order to accelerate your path to success, professionals and advi-sors should be part of your A-Team. Were you brought up to believe that if you worked hard in school and got good grades, you’d do well in life?

If you were, you may have been surprised when you found out people like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs both dropped out of college.

In fact, formal education has little to do with success when it comes to being a successful entrepreneur.

So what does it really take to succeed in business?

In my past three businesses, I kept asking that ques-tion as I was observing how some of my clients, employees, and franchisees were highly success-ful while others, with the same amount of resources, were falling on their face.

I asked myself why it was always the same sales reps that high-rolled every day, while others were consistently struggling?

As I studied these people I noticed that it was not intelligence, experience, or level of education. There was something else. Something that was hard to put my finger on.

I have since found that the difference between the failing business owner and the one taking on the world is found in their mind and in their program-ming. In fact, your mindset is responsible for about 90% percent of your success!

Some people are simply programmed for success. Everything they touch turns into gold. You may wonder what their secret is, wishing you could have it too.

Their secret is simply how they use their mind, and yes, you can learn how to do that too.

Your mind was programmed when you were a child. Most of the programming in your subconscious mind happened before you were seven years old; yet, that programming continues to run your life 24-7 today.

If the programming you received is not aligned with success and the things you want in your life, getting the results you want in your business will feel like a constant struggle.

The good news is, if your mind is not programmed for success, there are ways to reprogram it.

We are really powerful beings and once you learn how to tap into your mind correctly, there are no limits to what you can achieve. The problem is that so many people are not using their minds correctly. They don’t understand how powerful they are. They let outside circumstances hold them back from getting whey want.

I actually learned about the power of my own mindset the hard way. At the time I was starting my coaching business and after years of being misaligned with my purpose in life, I ended up sick and burnt out. However, after I finally found my passion in life, I was eager to get started to work as a coach. Although I had built several successful businesses in the past, this time was quite different.

My health was holding me back and it was affecting my mindset in a negative way. It got to a point where I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. After trying everything I could think of to feel better over several years, I finally decided to take the matter into my own hands. I started reading all the books I could get my hands on about healing and transfor-mation and I came up with a formula to heal myself.

I must admit I was pretty shocked when only two weeks later I had healed myself. I was stunned at the amazing power of my mind and started using this technique in my business as well. As a result, I made more money in a week than I had previously done in a year - without any extra effort on my part.

I am telling you this because you can do the same thing once you learn how to properly use your mind.

There are many components of your mind and only so much I can cover in this article. Below I have listed what I believe are the top seven mindset traits of successful entrepreneurs. Learn to adopt these traits and you’re quickly on your way to more success in your business. ▶

1. Clarity of vision: They know exactly what they want and they have a clear picture in their mind of what they are going to achieve. They keep this image in their mind and not for a moment let an image of failure enter their mind.

2. Goal oriented: They set goals and work toward them. They look at their goals daily and consistently ask what they need to do next to reach their goals?

3. Faith. They not only believe that what they want is coming true, but they expect it and act as if it’s already on its way to them. They don’t let fear stop them but plow forward even if they are terrified.

4. Quick decisions: They make quick decisions and take action. They don’t make decisions from fear, but do what seems to be the best decision to get them to their goal.

5. Unshakable confidence: They have unshakable confi-dence and believe in themselves even when no one else does. They shake off rejection easily.

6. They go the extra mile: They take action knowing that what they want is just around the next corner, even if outside circumstances are showing otherwise. They keep going where other people give up.

7. Willingness to do what it takes: Successful people are simply willing to do things other people are NOT willing to do. They will do whatever it takes to get them to their desired goal.

3 THINGS YOU NEED TO CLARIFYTo Build a Lasting and Effective Brand

It comes as a surprise to many entrepreneurs that a brand isn’t simply their logo, the colors on their website, or the fonts they choose to use. Your brand is so much more than those pieces, and your logo, website, and other graphics are simply a visual representation of your brand message.

Consider this your Branding 101 overview of the three most important pieces involved in creating a lasting, effective, and successful brand. These are the initial three things every entrepreneur needs to consider before moving forward with, or growing, their business.

STEP ONE: WHO ARE YOU?

If you want to clearly communicate your brand through all touchpoints (any point of interaction between you and your audience), you have to be really clear about who you are as an entrepreneur or company. This comes down to knowing

your values and ensuring that every single part of your busi-ness is fully aligned.

Core values are created by taking an honest look at your product, service, and customer experience, as well as nar-rowing down the defining elements of your business. Your core values should be absolutely indisputable, and are often defined by the points of differentiation from your competitors.

What’s unique about your product or service that sets it apart from others on the market?

by Stephenie Zamora

01 Who Are You?

2 8 M A R C H 2 0 1 5 A N E W V I E W

A C C E L E R AT E

Why should your audience be interested? What needs are you meeting through providing your clientele this product or service? Why would a prospect choose to work with you over your competition?

Even more important, as a company, what are you passion-ate about and what do you stand for? Passion is a great clue into what your core values are. Passion comes from the why behind your work and creates an emotional con-nection for your customer, which bonds them to your brand.

Start by creating a simple word list with all the values that are important to you. List everything that comes to mind, and then try to categorize words together. From here, narrow your list down to 3 - 4 core values. Too few will create a flat brand message, while too many will create a confusing and diluted message. Choose words that embody several of your values together, but create one clear focus.

STEP TWO: WHO DO YOU SERVE?

I don’t believe in niching in the traditional sense of “women in their mid-30s with 2.5 kids who like to go to yoga twice a week.” I believe in niching by the unique pain points and desires of your audience. The reason this is such a power-ful strategy is you can serve a wider, yet far more specific and targeted audience. When you get really clear on the pain points of your ideal audience, and even clearer about the results they want to receive, you’ll start to attract a mix of demographics, yet every single person will be an ideal fit.

For most of us, we truly want to serve a wide audience of people who need what we have to offer, but we listen too literally to the “everyone isn’t your audience” guidance. And it’s true, your audience isn’t everyone in the world, even though they may benefit from what you have to offer. That said, you can still serve a wide range of individuals if you’re clear on what’s happening internally and externally for them. The key is specificity.

Don’t say things like “feel healthier and happier,” get really

specific about what that looks and feels like to your audi-ence. How does it look and feel to be unhappy and unhealthy in their lives right now? I mean, how does it really look? What specifically are they experiencing? And how would it look and feel to be healthier and happier? Again, be as specific as possible. This is about defining the core feel-ings, beliefs, struggles, and blocks that your people are experiencing, and communicating it in a way that they can say, “Yes, that’s me!”

Your brand message and strategy can’t be effective if you’re not clear on your audience, so don’t skip this part. Interview people if you have to, but take the time to really clarify what’s going on for your audience so you’re best able to connect with them.

STEP THREE: WHAT DO YOU DO AND HOW DO YOU DO IT?

This is about defining what makes your product and ser-vices unique, not simply stating that you’re a life coach pro-viding coaching services, or that you sell X, Y, and Z at a certain price point. When thinking about what you do, reflect back on your core values.

If you want to create products and services that not only sell, but are talked about and sought after, you have to fully align them with your core values and audience. One of the best ways to do this is through a process I call “reverse engineering your offerings.”

Start by taking a really close look at your ideal client or cus-tomer and their pain points. Where are they really strug-gling right now? How specifically is this affecting the rest of their life and all of their relationships?

Once you’re clear on the pain points, get clear on what you want to promise them with this offering. What specifically

02 Who Do You Serve?

03 What Do You Do and How Do You Do it?

M A R C H 2 0 1 5 A N E W V I E W 2 9

A C C E L E R AT E

will change for them and how will that affect the rest of their lives? What benefits and results are you willing to promise they’ll receive, and are these things they really, truly desire?

Once you’re clear on both the pain points and benefits/results you want to promise, it’s easy to reverse engineer your offer-ings. What do you need to provide to deliver these benefits and results? What’s the best format or container for delivery?

And lastly, consider how you can ensure the product or service is in line with your overall brand values. If you chose innovative as a value, how can you create a fresh, innovative method of delivery? If you chose high quality, how can you package your product or service in a more upscale, beautiful,

and quality way?

Once you’re clear on these three important aspects, you simply have to ensure every touchpoint of your brand is fully aligned.

Is the logo, color palette, and fonts in line with the core of your brand? Is the marketing strategy and plan really sup-porting what you’re doing, and attracting the right people? Is your content and messaging aligned with your core values? Branding is about creating cohesiveness and consistency, and you can’t create this without clarity around this three essential aspects.

ARE YOU IN THE ZONE?by Debra AngillettaYou know how it’s a few months into the new year and you still find yourself spinning your wheels; wondering where to begin to find your ideal high paying clients?

Here is something interesting--the reason why so many women entrepreneurs struggle, is that they’ve actually been taught how find clients--backwards! Many teachings have you first identify “your niche.” And yes, I agree, get-ting really clear and going really deep to identify your ideal client is part of the answer. It makes life so much easier when you focus on speaking to one person instead of “everyone.”

But let’s back up the truck for a moment. The problem is, you’re trying to fit what you do into strategies and tech-niques that simply don’t work for you. When the way to really accelerate your success, which seems completely counter-intuitive but works every time, is that you start with what you are good at, and then you find the strategy

that leverages that.

And it’s really that simple, but if you don’t know how to do it, you can crash and burn.

In order to find your ideal clients, and to create consistent monthly income , you have to reverse what you have been doing in your marketing.

Herein lies the answer to the problem…most of you have no idea what your zone of genius is.

It is that place where you find yourself on fire, and your body is literally buzzing. It’s where your true gifts lie and you operate on a super-high level. It’s your sweet spot…where your super power lies. What do you do better than anyone else on the planet?

This is the step before finding your niche. Can you see

how you’ve been doing it backwards?

First, you need to discover what you do…better than any-one else…and notice how natural it for you. We often don’t take time to do this. Why? Because none of us are walking around with a mirror all day.

Once you discover what your genius is first, then you can begin to find the strategies and tools that perfectly match, and catapult your business through the roof.

One of the keys is a system that identifies which of the four archetypes your genius naturally falls into. From that, you are able to develop a marketing and promotion avenue that’s perfectly aligned with that genius and with that arche-type; so you can make money faster and much more easily that you are doing it now.

So how do you do that?

Even before I left my corporate, Wall Street career, I be-came aware of this crucial success factor--where people made it on their own terms, using talents and abilities no one else had or could duplicate. When I discovered this system, it led me to create my own six-figure business. It was an indispensable key to success. Now I’ve dedicated

my business life to showing others how to stop fitting into someone else’s cookie cutter business model, and making a truly successful business using what comes naturally to you.

So it’s a really interesting system that actually uses some-thing that is as unique as your fingerprint. You know how your fingerprint is one of a kind; and you know how you are a one-of-a-kind person.

When you are operating from your zone of genius…sud-denly it all clicks.

The things that are often hard for other people, are easy for you. The system that does it is actually based on something that is as individual as all three of these things--your fingerprint,

your natural abilities, and your talents. It’s all based on the structure of your eye.

Using the science of IRIDOLOGY it identifies strengths, gifts, and opportunities you can monetize in your business through your own eye’s lens.

Think of it this way, your eyes are the windows to your inter-nal hard drive.Iridology is the tool that helps read the operating system…YOUR unique operating system.

Through this process, many people are asking, how they can tap into this?

Well, you know you are talented. You know you are really good at what you do.You know what you do changes lives. Yet, something is get-ting in the way.

There is one big obstacle that’s causing that to happen.

Herein lies the answer to the

problem...most of you have no

idea what your Zone of Genius

is.

This is the step before finding

your niche. Can you see how you

have been doing it backwards?

You know what you do changes

lives. Yet, something is getting

in the way.

When you reverse that, you will find that with a little work you can create a pipeline of high-paying clients and con-sistent monthly income at will. Here’s the thing, for most entrepreneurs, we feel that in order to be successful, we have to reinvent the wheel. We attend all of the events, hire all the mentors, and spend money on workshops.

Then, none of them work. We think it’s us. Now the solution is, as I mentioned before, you don’t start with what someone wants for you. You start with your zone of genius and then match the strategy to that. And that’s what iridology helps us do.

Without having to learn this all yourself, here’s what we discovered after hundreds of readings over the past five years.

There are Four Zone of Genius Archetypes. You can identify who you are and where your unique abilities lie to serve high level clients. People pay for expertise. You have it. It’s a matter of revealing it!

With iridology you can take this deeper and fully under-stand who you are meant to work with; how to find “your” people; how to structure a program; and how to package it for profit. But for now, you’re in better shape than you were before you started. Now you have the key to start attracting the right clients that are good fit for you, in or-der to create the life and business you love.

M A S T E RAT ACHIEVING YOUR DREAMS By Sarah Walton

THIS ONE LITTLE EXERCISE CAN MAKE YOU A

What do the masters know that you don’t?

Oh, I just love this question. It’s such an attention-grabber, isn’t it? The Masters! Oh, they must know more than me. I mean, they’re masters!

And yes, that is mostly true. Becoming a master takes time, energy, and practice. You can’t become a master because you wish it, hope for it, or even because you dream about it. It takes time. And one more ingredient that no one ever likes to talk about--discipline.

Yeah yeah, Sarah, c’mon, tell me some-thing I don’t know.

Well, here’s what I mean by discipline. It’s not about doing 300 sit-ups before dawn, or eating only kale for three weeks, or sending out 200 e-mails by noon. Discipline is much more subtle than that, and if you hone your awareness of

3 8 M A R C H 2 0 1 5 A N E W V I E W

A C C E L E R AT E

it, you’ll see that it pops up many times throughout the day.

It’s in those tiny moments when no one else is watching. It’s when you sit down to write. You want to write about what someone else said, instead of thinking through your own thoughts, contributions, and struggles.

It shows up when you want to reach for a piece of candy, right after you’ve declared you’d like to lose a few pounds. You have a choice, right there, when no one is watching. You can pop the candy in your mouth and mutter the ever-lovely, “F it. I deserve this.” Or you can remind yourself of your goals and ideas, and put the piece of candy down.

It also shows up in those moments when you look at your to-do list and you see the task you don’t want to do. So, you skip it. You know the one I’m talking about. The one that may have been there for a few weeks, and you just keep moving it from one day to the next. Discipline comes in when you do that one first, then move on to the fun one.

For me, that moment of discipline is the first moment of my day, when my alarm

goes off. I have a choice to slap that alarm quiet and go back to sleep, or get up a little bit early and start my day. And while it’s never easy to choose to get up, I never end up saying, “Wow, I wish I hadn’t done that.” It’s kind of like exer-cise. After a workout you never think, “Huh. I wish I had stayed home and eaten chocolate.”

No way! You feel great, you feel like you’re in charge, and that energy keeps you going toward your goals, your needs, and your heart-felt desires. But that’s not possible if you lose the battle of discipline in those quiet moments when no one else is watching.

I know, I know, it’s so easy to say all of that right? And you’ve probably heard it all before. So, here’s my little “trick” for exercising your power of discipline and working yourself up to be a master. And don’t worry, this whole trick will take you less than 10 minutes.

SARAH WALTON:What do the masters know that you don’t?

M A R C H 2 0 1 5 A N E W V I E W 3 9

A C C E L E R AT E

The 10-Minute Masters TrickIn that moment after you’ve won a quiet battle, whether you made the hard phone call, walked away from the candy, or finally done your taxes (seriously, those taxes). STOP. Make yourself a little cup of tea or coffee, and grab a pen and notebook. Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Then take one more deep breath, and let your shoulders relax.

Smile. Relish that moment. You’ve just won. You just made yourself bigger than an obstacle. You’ve beaten an urge, a moment of laziness, or a tough challenge. YOU did that. No one else. Breathe in the moment. Then grab that pen and write in your notebook by asking yourself the following questions:

1) How do you feel right now? Powerful, amazing, happy, light?

2) What would you say to the “nervous” you in your former state? Hint: This should be something encouraging and sup-portive. Remember you’re talking to the scared, intimidated, or nervous you…let her know that the happy ending is not only possible, but very near.

Keep the notebook handy. Pull these notes out the next time you think of skipping passed discipline. If it’s more helpful for you, write your answers to #1 (“How do you feel right now?”) on sticky notes and put them on your bathroom mirror, make them your wallpaper on your phone, or put them on your computer monitor.

Because at the end of the day, here’s the thing:

You deserve to feel like you’ve won. If you’ve started a business, done the hard work to get this far and you’re following your dreams, you deserve to become a master. And when you choose to win in the small moments when no one is watching, you will be.

Here’s to your growth, success, and continued happiness. Go get ‘em, you master you.

Source: Uptatie mod tin voluptat praesse quisit utpat nisci eraessequam dolenim do ex eu feugaitHow do you define success?

What does it look like for you?

A six- or seven-figure business? A beautiful home? High end car? Gorgeous, loving, attentive, wealthy life partner or spouse in your bed? Beautiful, healthy children? Financial and personal freedom?

However you choose to define success, getting clear on what you desire is a key part of achieving it.

Taking the time to get clear on what you want to achieve, then making a plan for how you will achieve it, is a key factor in creating joyful success.

Once you have a plan, stay in action--adapting it when necessary until you achieve the results you want. You have to BE unstoppable!

Next you need to ask yourself WHY you want the things you desire.

I’ve learned, the hard way, that it’s not just about achieving success. It’s about creating joyful success. It’s about achieving the things that are meaningful to YOU. And to do that you’ve got to take the time to figure out what YOU really want. Not what your parents wanted for you, or your spouse, or society tells you that you should want, or have, to be considered successful.

Who you are being in your business or your life is key. It’s the how you do what you do. How you show up will impact the results you achieve and, more importantly, how much fun you have along the way.

As a personal development and business success coach, I’ve helped many people heed the inner call to make a change that is often heralded by an increas-ing sense of dissatisfaction with their life or business. It is a journey I have walked myself.

I started my career as a physical therapist. I loved it and I was excellent at it. I had made the career choice after the requisite session with the career counsellor for high school seniors. She asked me what kinds of things I loved doing.

I loved helping people like my Mom did (she was a nurse). But I didn’t want to clean up after them. I also liked sports--even if I wasn’t very good. She sug-gested I investigate physical therapy. Since I didn’t know what they did, I should spend a day at the Mona Rehabilitation center, which I did.

I went on to have a 25-year career in the field of physi-cal therapy, including having a successful private prac-tice and Wellness Center for over 15 years.

I felt so blessed to have fallen into a career I loved and was excellent at. Not everyone was as lucky. I remem-ber a classmate of mine saying at graduation, “I don’t want to do this, I’m going to medical school.”

Physical therapy also facilitated my return to the USA as the job demand was high and work permits were easy to obtain. I rose through the professional ranks quickly to the “pinnacle” position of Director of Rehabilitation for a corporation that had many different facilities on the east coast. Within six months, I took a start up clinic in a retirement community to being the top-grossing clinic of 17 on the east coast.

Amidst the accolades and the financial bonuses--the corporate world’s indicators of success - I began having panic attacks.

This was my wake up call. My internal alarm going off. My “inner GPS” helping me to get back on track with my soul’s desires.

Taking the job initially facilitated a goal I had to return to the USA. It also facilitated me learning new management skills and boosting my self confidence, all of which would serve me later in my own business. However, it was time to move on because the hours I was putting in were impacting my home life, my rela-tionships with my husband and children, which was a bigger

priority for me.

Part of creating joyful success is being able to live in what I call your “Million Dollar Zone.” It’s a state of being where you are happy, grounded, energized, clear, focused, calm, creative, and magnetically attractive. When you are in your Million Dollar Zone, opportunities appear (seemingly like magic), your money flows and your stress levels are low. You meet life’s challenges with ease and grace and adapt to change easily.

We’ve all had days where nothing goes right, your energy is low, and you feel miserable! There are times in life where you find yourself doing things you’d rather not be doing. Here’s the key. It’s not so much about what you doing but how you are FEELING about what you are doing.

How you are BEING profoundly impacts how you function and you function much more optimally in your Million Dollar Zone.

To achieve meaningful, joyful, success you must be willing to:

1. Get clear on what you want to accomplish and why you want it (Identify YOUR Million Dollar Zone).

2. Believe it’s possible for YOU to have it (Shift Your mindset).

3. Have a plan for how you will accomplish it (Get support)

4. Become unstoppable by:

● Keeping the plan alive despite of life’s challenges and the emotional roller coaster they put us on.

● Meeting challenges with ease and grace.

● Moving forward in the face of disappointments and detours.

● Managing the stress, so you stay mentally sharp, energized, and healthy. This is all about making Self Care an integral foun-dational practice.

for a Six-Figure Business and a Million Dollar Life

3 SIMPLE SECRETS

Self-care as an entrepreneur can often seem like oil and water. It’s not the easiest to mix unless you have a killer whisk. You’ve been there; your business is all consuming. Late nights followed by early mornings. You are trying to con-stantly do more, be more, and achieve more. And to do more, you need more meetings, more ideas, more coffee, more carbs, etc. And if you are finding time to breathe that means you probably should be working more, right? Wrong.

You want to be healthy. You want to be active. And, you wish you were more rested, but it seems impossible to achieve. There are just so many demands on your day, your energy is wiped out.

The problem? You just don’t have time.

As a single mama who has built a six-fig-ure business while raising two young chil-dren, let me tell you that burnout is a real

possibility if you don’t look after yourself. I know because I experienced it.

This is what it looked like for me:

● Anxious about everything because decision making was hard.

● A short fuse, limited patience, and snapping at loved ones became a regular occurrence.

● Stressed about not having enough clients, money, and nagging feelings of hopelessness began to creep in, “Can I really do this? Will I ever be successful?”

● Constantly tired, eating sugary, carb-laden comfort foods, and jacking up on coffee throughout the day while winding down the night with a glass of wine.

Can you relate? Well, it doesn’t have to be this way.

I learned the hard the way. After staying 35+lbs overweight and struggling to make ends meet, I came to the realization that I couldn’t live like this. I had to make some drastic changes.

The biggest one? Self-care became a non-negotiable.

I realized that if I wanted to be an effective CEO of my company I needed to act like it, in every way, so that I could achieve all of the hopes and dreams I had for my business. I wanted to be a top performer. So, I needed to be in tip-top shape, just like an elite athlete who wants to win gold needs to focus on their performance.

I got healthier. I got rested. I could handle everything my business threw at me with ease. I was focused, gained more clients, and made more money.

I found my way to lasting success.

What are the three secrets?

● Exercise: Developing a smart, efficient routine can reenergize and refocus you. Pick something you love to do. Even if you have just 15-20 minutes a day. Just start. Each baby step leads to another. And creatively, I have come up with some of my greatest ideas and plans while on a run or at the gym.

● Nutrition: You need fuel. Period. And it oughta be delicious. It doesn’t have to be fancy. It has to be real, healthy, and work for you. Consuming more protein, filling up on fresh leafy vegetables, and a tasty piece of fruit for a clearer mind and a fortified focus.

● Sleep: You’re not superhuman. And rest is part of your success. A solid eight hours of sleep is a game changer. Scheduled rest is a component of every major athlete’s regime. And you play pro with your business, right?

A fatigued mind is a confused mind. A body that doesn’t get the movement it needs stockpiles stress. Plus, consis-tently poor food choices take a toll on the body.

If your business isn’t growing quickly, and you’re not making as much money as you want, most people keep trying the same old approach of do more/make more. I know, because this was me. When I decided to lose weight and take the time for quality care, my business took a drastic leap. There was an immense flow of clients and money. I was able to shine as an entrepreneur because I decided to cultivate the best version of myself.

I want this for you, too.

This best version is someone who exudes confidence, mindfulness, a generous spirit, and a strong sense of self. A pres-ence that is not to be missed because you literally light up a room. You aren’t afraid to admit your mistakes because

you recognize that you are a work in progress. You are relatable.

And therefore, you and your business are a force to be reckoned with.

The problem is many women have everything figured out in their careers (or are on their way), have kids, the car, vacation home - an abundant, full life, but they look in the mirror and hate their bodies. You want to be active, you want to lose weight, but it feels impossible.

I know because I was once this person.

Being a single mama to my two little kids, while being the CEO of my company, I found myself burning out fast. I stayed at 35+lbs overweight. I was so tired of feeling this way and I knew I had to make some drastic changes. I could continue on, trudging through each day - jacked up on caffeine, comforting myself with carbs, and procrastinating moving my body or I could radically redesign my life.

Well, I chose the redesign.

Not only did I lose weight, get moving, and finally feel like myself, but my business changed, as well. It was a full-life transformation. And it can be this way for you, too.

“5 Ways to Outsmart Your Fat Cells” is not about quick weight loss that eventually creeps back in and makes you feel worse. This is about becom-ing conscious about how we look at food and how we nourish our bodies. No “fake” healthy food mar-keted and packaged up to look healthy.

You are not too old to lose weight or have a slow metabolism, or whatever myths you have con-vinced yourself of why you can’t do it. You are capable of anything.

And, trust me, it is not your fault. The industry around weight loss and exercise has been care-fully designed to fool you, to keep you coming back for more. No depriving, no flash in the pan, quick trends here, folks. I promise.

Wouldn’t you love to know the fastest, least expensive, and most effective way to dra-matically make more money and see your influence and reach explode? It’s simple. Expose yourself-in the media, that is.

There are very few ways to instantly reach thousands, even millions of prospects than getting FREE, big-time TV publicity. In the business world, it’s no secret that the right, national TV appearance can instantly catapult your business or product to massive success.

As an entrepreneur, you have the same opportunity to cash in on media appear-ances as the big guys. But most of you are not doing it.

One of my mentors always says, “You cannot be a secret, and be profitable.”

Do you sometimes feel like you’re the best-kept secret in your industry or niche? It’s time to change that.

Here’s what I know to be TRUE:● Being featured in the media is one of the most powerful ways to position yourself in the marketplace.

● Doing an interview on TV or the radio, or being quoted or featured in an online or offline publication gives you instant credibility. It establishes you as an expert, the authority in your niche.

● People invest in experts, and they are willing to pay you more for your expertise. Read that again. People invest in experts, and they are willing to pay you more for your expertise. We do it everyday, when we hire a doctor or a lawyer or a coach. We want the expert, the best we can get. And we are willing to pay for that expertise.

With proper training, you will

never be caught off guard and

will always be camera-ready.

● People consume information and entertainment from sources they already know and trust, and that trust immediately transfers to you. If you’re in business you already know how important those ‘know, like and trust” factors are, right?

● Being featured in the media let’s people engage with your brand. Prospects will start reaching out to you, through social media, and email. How great does that sound!

● Being a regular in the media gives you an instant leg up over your competition.

Create National Buzz About You and Your BusinessSo this, my friends, is how commanding the power of the media lets you cash in and crush the competition.

What’s one of the biggest reasons you struggle to get clients? Could it be as simple as the people who need your solutions to their problems, don’t know you exist?

Another one of my mentors, Matthew Goldfarb, once said, “I had reached the point in my business where the only reason I didn’t have more clients was because they didn’t know me.”

Think about that. What Matthew was saying was that nearly every prospect he came in contact with wanted to work with him. If they knew him or about him, they wanted to work with him.

There is no faster way to get in front of tens of thousands (or more) of your ideal prospects than well-placed media exposure.

And remember, all it costs is a little time and effort to be prepared and learn how to pitch the media strategically.

Join the “As Seen In” ClubIf you visit the websites of the top entrepreneurs in the coaching world, for example, you’ll likely see a string of impressive media logos under the heading of “As Seen In.” That immediately makes you see that person as an authority. The expert in her field. A big success. Someone you’d like to work with.

One client who we worked with to develop a media and commu-nications strategy, has already been featured in 10 media outlets, including ABC ®, Fox ®, and CBS ® . This led to a significant boost in brand recognition and helped increase revenues by 30 percent. Another client is now a regular contributor for a nation-ally-acclaimed magazine.

Having a media and communications strategy will boost your public image, brand recognition, and personal connections with your ideal clients.

Never Get Caught Off GuardPlan, prepare, and practice. You never know when your moment is going to be there; when you are going to be discovered. Work with a top notch professional who knows the questions produc-ers, reporters, and anchors will ask.

The best training is experiential and hands on. Mock interviews, and camera practice that’s recorded. Be open to feedback, play-back your interview with a professional and watch it together.

Here’s the thing, I’ve witnessed CEO’s, politicians, celebrities, and even kings turn big media opportunities into PR disasters. They were caught off guard.

That won’t ever happen to you. With proper training, you will never get caught off guard and will always be camera ready.
