    Now you can have all the power and features of a 7 Series racing type CD ignition system, for use on the street as well asat the track! The RISC micro-controller digital circuitry provides high-speed processing, maximum energy output andgreater efficiency. The control unit provides several multi-strike spark events of 550 V and 150mJ of energy up to 2500RPM. The ACCEL 500+ features a remote hand-held display/input unit for easy real time programming and observation orit can be unplugged from the control unit after programming. The ACCEL 500+ Pro Street/Race ignition can be used witha wide variety of coils, but for maximum performance potential, a high turns ratio CD-type coil should be used. Werecommend ACCEL p/n 140019.

  • 275+ DIGITAL MULTI-STRIKE CD IGNITIONWITHOUT REV CONTROLUtilizes the latest generation of RISC micro-controller to provide highspeed processing, maximize energy output, greatly enhancedefficiency and more complete coil saturation. ACCELs 275+ CDIgnition Control unit provides several multi-strike spark events of 500volts and 125 mJ up to 2500 RPM for easier starting and greater burnefficiency, resulting in enhanced performance. This is critical inmodified engines with increased cylinder pressures resulting fromhigher compression pistons, high profile camshafts, higher flowintake manifolds, exhaust headers, and modified cylinder heads.The compact design makes easy mounting in limited spaces. Canbe used with a factory coil, but recommended that you upgrade to ahigh performance coil or a CD-type coil.

The remote hand-helddisplay/input unit and six-foot cable can also be unplugged from the controlunit after programming. The units harness plugs directly into the 300+Ignition Control box harness, allowing the custom software and dual RISCmicroprocessors to fully interface with each other. It is lightweight and easy to install. It features high speed processing, maximum energy outputand greatly enhanced efficiency due to its latest generation RISC micro-controller, plus it has a much lower power draw than anantiquated analog control box.     DIGITAL NITROUS PROCESSORThe most advanced nitrous controller available! If you are running nitrous,this is a must have. Monitors the status of your engine and controls theamount of nitrous flow based on user-defined variables. This allows you torun larger amounts of nitrous while safely protecting your engine.

    Features Include: RPM Progression mode. When selected, the DNM starts nitrous flow at 1% and

    progressively increases to 100% as the RPM increases (start RPM and Full RPM areindependently selectable). This greatly reduces strain on engine internals at lowRPM where the engine cannot ingest as much nitrous.

    Launch Mode. When activated the DNM will ramp in nitrous over a selectable periodof time (0 to 12 seconds). This eliminates wheel spin at lower speeds and reducesquarter mile times.

    Activation delay mode. Delay nitrous activation for a user selectable amount of timein milliseconds. This allows the chassis to settle after initial launch before startingNitrous flow eliminating wheel spin on initial launch.

    Timing retard. Up to 15 degrees of timing is automatically retarded when nitrous is flowing. Low fuel pressure protection. If fuel pressure drops the DNM will automatically cut

    nitrous flow to prevent engine damage due to a lean condition. Top end Rev limiter. Progressively cuts spark at a user selectable RPM to eliminate

    engine damage caused by over rev. Also cuts nitrous and fuel 50 RPM before this revlimit kicks in preventing backfires due to nitrous build up in the exhaust system.

    Two step rev limiter. A low RPM limiter can be activated for use with a transbrake or as aburnout limiter. The DNM cuts Nitrous and fuel when the two-step rev limiter is activated.

    Can be triggered from a factory TPS sensor to eliminate the need for a full throttle switch.

    TACH ADAPTERIf your tachometer fails to operate after installing either the ACCEL 275+ or300+, you may need a tach adapter. The green lead in the wire harness fromthe ACCEL 275+ or 300+ ignition control produces a 12 volt square wavesignal. This can be used with most tachometers.

    If your tachometer is triggered from the coil negative terminal (voltagetrigger) and you are using the white lead via either points, electronic ignitionamplifier output or OE module to trigger the ACCEL 275+ or 300+, you needthe ACCEL tach adapter p/n 49365.

    CAPS, ROTORS, POINTS & CONDENSERS FOR RACING DISTRIBUTORSHigh performance ignition systems place severe demands ondistributor caps and rotors. Extremely high voltage, high RPM, andhigh underhood temperatures can take their toll. Heavy springtension, required to prevent points float, can wear away the rubbingblock and deform its arms and brackets. High current generated byracing coils can arc across the contacts as they open. Condenserscan become very hot. Its an extremely demanding environment.

    GM HEI IN-CAP COIL LOW RESISTANCECONTACT BRUSHThe standard OE carbon brush in GMs HEI in-cap coil distributor is high (5k to10k Ohms) resistance. When an aftermarket capacitive discharge (CD) ignitionsystem such as ACCEL, Mallory, Crane, Holley or MSD is installed, this highresistance can create enough heat to melt the distributor cap.
