Themed ‘Discover and Empower – Unleashing Hong Kong’s potential as world-class smart economy’, ACCA Hong Kong’s Annual Conference this year will be held on Saturday, 16 June at Conrad Hong Kong.

The Greater Bay Area Initiative, a plan of building a world-class city cluster across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau region, is exciting the market since late last year. By capitalising the unique competitive edge of 11 cities, the Greater Bay Area aspires to play a leading global hub role in advanced manufacturing, innovation, shipping, trade and finance, and is expected to become a new economic powerhouse supporting the fast development of the Belt and Road Initiative. Hong Kong being the leading global financial centre, is well poised to reap the benefits from repositioning ourselves as the international hub of innovation and technology, by exploiting business opportunities offered by the Greater Bay Area and diversifying our economy.

Hong Kong in the Greater Bay Area, and the future developments that will shape the way finance professionals operate. The conference shall explore the impacts of the integration, such as the freer flow of talent and capital, the possible shift of economic structures, policies and regulations. As we transform and re-orientate ourselves to the future smart economy, we shall explore how finance professionals embrace profound uncertainties and game-changing technologies.

This Annual Conference is one of ACCA Hong Kong’s signature events hosting over 400 delegates each year. It will be part of ACCA Asia Pacific’s series of conferences which will also take place in Beijing, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Singapore.
