ACCA Co-operative Youth Leadership Program
About the Program…
• The program is held at Goldeye Centre, near Nordegg, AB
• Formerly known as REDA
• Positively influencing Alberta youth since 1959!
• Tens of thousands of youth have attended the program• Influential members of our society
• Doctors, Lawyers, Executive Directors, etc.
Who Attends the Program?• The program has 4 different levels for youth
ages 11-18• PreTeen - youth ages 11-12
• Explore comfort zones and develop self-confidence
• Teen - youth ages 13-14
• Builds greater confidence, explore values and learn about group dynamics
• Youth - youth ages 15-16
• Actively take on leadership roles
• Grad - youth ages 17-18
• Further develop positive attitudes and knowledge
• Transfer leadership skills in a community setting
• Each level runs for one week
What We Do!
• Approx. 40-60 youth attend each week• Approx. 230 per summer
• Youth come from around Alberta to learn about:• leadership,
• co-operatives,
• giving back to their community,
• & increasing their self esteem.
• Safe, friendly and ‘camp’ environment
More Than a ‘Camp’ ☺• So much more than the ‘typical camp’ experience
• We positively influence youth with life skills such as team building and public speaking
We encourage participants to make a difference!
Volunteer Staff!
• 6-11 sponsored volunteer staff per program• Age from 18-65
• Teach and positively impact the youth
• Come from a variety of backgrounds• alumni of the program,• teachers,• social workers,• & co-operative members and employees!
• Teach each generation how co-operatives work and how they can better our world.

• Sponsor youth in your communityto attend the program!!✓Budget for it!
• Approach and Register your youth
• Scholarship Opportunity!
✓Save Surplus Dollars!
✓Write a letter of support to local co-ops!
• Co-operators, FedGas, UFA, Co-op store, etc.
• Send a volunteer staff member for a week!
