SPM students in Malaysia who scored grade Ain their Prinsip Perakaunan paper will be exempted one paper (Paper FA1) from the CAT Qualification.Through this pathway, SPM students can complete the CAT and ACCA Qualifications within three years.

ROUTE TO BECOMING AN ACCA PROFESSIONAL

The qualifications you have now will determine at which point you start your journey with us.

CERTIFIED ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN (CAT) QUALIFICATION

CAT Qualification:

Students must have 5 credits (grade C or above, including English and Mathematics), or equivalent.

ACCA Qualifications:

Students must have CAT Qualification or 2 principle passes at STPM (grade C or above), PLUS 3 credits at SPM (grade C or above, including English and Mathematics) or equivalent.

* These exams are based on international standards for financial reporting and auditing and have also been adapted for national accountancy practices in Hong Kong, Ireland, Malaysia, Singapore and the UK.

** ACCA offers exams based on Malaysian law and tax. It means you will gain a globally-recognised qualification where your knowledge and skills will be tailored to meet the needs of local business and employers.
