This week we were able to purchase a coffee machine and coffee table and we await the arrival of some comfortable furniture for the parents to share in their time at school. Nancy Lunnay, one of our parent council members has been assisting me with this development. We look forward to many parents enjoying their time at school and building community together. Our Kidsmatter action team met this week to review the things we are doing currently to build student well being. Next week 5 of our staff will attend Kidsmatter and Mind Matters information sessions in Alice Springs. It was good to also have some MS parents on Wednesday afternoon too. We value being able to partner with you in your child(ren’s) education at Araluen Christian College. I also received some great feedback about the flexi- bility parents have to be able to book the times that suit them online. We also had parents who de- cided to make contact with class teachers at a different time in some instances. Face to face communication helps us to work with you and enhances the relationships in our college community. The College Council and Directors of the NT Christian Schools board invite you to attend the annual ACC members meeting and council elections at 7pm on Monday 7th of March in the Araluen Christian College library. All who are members of NT Christian Schools are invited to vote for the council members on March 7th. The Middle School Canberra Camp on August 20th – 26th 2016 has an information night presented by Educa-tours for MS parents and students on Thursday 10th of March in the ACC library. A remind- er to make payments by instalment for the Canberra camp $200 is due by Friday 11th of March. The Government gives

every child a $150 Back to

School voucher. They are

in the office, they can be

used towards uniforms,

book packs and excursions.

You have until the end of

Term 1 to use yours, don’t

forget to pop into the office to

sign it.

Middle School Homework Centre is every Thursday from 3-5pm in the Year 7 room. Great way to get your homework done and help if needed from Miss Cass. Don’t forget to bring some-thing to eat for your after-noon tea.
