SUMMARY REPORT OF TEACHER'S DAY CELEBRATION ON 5.N SEBTEMBER 2018

Just like every year, this year also we have gathered here to celebrate Teachers' Day. Every year the

5th of September is celebrated as Teachers' Day in India commemorating the birth anniversary of

Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. As a Teacher, Vice President and second President of India Dr.

RadhaKrishnan made an immense contribution to the country. On this special occasion, I wish to convey

my best wishes and greetings to all the Teachers gathered here and to all those, who have helped me attain

success in my academics. As we all know that it is impossible to define 'teacher' as Teachers are not only

limited to Teaching or guiding students in academics but also helping students to take the right path.They

add value to our character and make us ideal citizens of the country.

Secondly, Teachers are our second parents. Teachers play a prominent role in influencing and

inspiring us. Every student tries to imitate their teachers and consider them as a role model. After parents,

teachers take the responsibility of moulding a child's character at each and every step. Therefore, it is our

utmost duty to salute/convey our wishes to Teachers today in recognition of their undeterred efforts. Let

us take time to pay honour and admire all their contribution in elevating us'

A world without an engineer is just like a bike without wheels. Today happens to be the 147th

bifihday ofone of the great sons of India. September l5th is designated as Engineers Day. I would like toshare with you some interesting snippets from the life ofthe great man. Any state should be lucky to have

a minister of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya's ability. How many such selfless patriots' do we have?

Free India honors great servants of the country every year by awarding titles. The highest of this award is

'Bharata Ratna'. In 1955 Visvesvaraya was made a'Bharata Ratna', the Gem of India. He was a gem ofmankind itself.

Dr.Visvesvaraya was a genius. The Block System which he invented, the automatic doorswhich he devised to stop wasteful overflow of water, the \'/ater supply and drainage system which heplanned for the city of Aden - these won high praise from engineers all over the world. His memory was

an arnazing as genius. We saw how in 1908 he tamed the Moosa. Fifty years later, one day, there was adiscussion about the river, and he referred to some detail. In 1906-07, Govemment of India sent him toAfrica to study watel supply and drainage system and the project prepared by him was implemented inEden successfully. He was a very great engineer in India and the first engineer too.

of this excellent institution-I was fortunate to witness the unique features of the Academies program

yesterday moming, and I have geat admiration for the cmphasis the Academy places on life-long learning

and development, positive engagement with the community, developing leadership skills; qualities that

will positively impact your communities, your country and the world at large May I take this opportunity

event, Mr Otieno shared your feedback on the class of yeal 2013-and I was most impressed with the

way you describe the class-awesome; geat team that made things happen; fun loving; overachievers;

Graduation is a time of celebration and triumph and marks the end of one phase and begiming of

the next phase. It is a very proud moment for the graduates, palents and teachers who have all played their

part in the end result. The students have worked hard with focus, determination and discipline. The

teachers (and I have the highest respect for the teaching profession built over many years as a student.

under one roof with them and may end up a few thousand miles away fiom home. This will require

€motional adjustment for both parent and child. From my own experience as a student, I was excited

leaving school; however as a parent, I recall the anxiety and the woEy I went through when my children

were offto university.

does is because they genuinely believe that it is in the best interests oftheir chitdren'

Good moming to my respected Sir and Madam and my all colleagues. I would like to say thank youto give me such a great opportunity to speak something on our Republic Day.

Today, we all are here to celebrate 67'h Republic Day of our nation. This is a great and auspiciousoccasion for all ofus. We should greet each other and pray to Go_d for the development and prosperity ofour nation. We celehate Republic Day in India every year on 26'n of January as the constitution of Indiacame into force at this day. We are regularly celebrating the Republic Day of India since 1950 as on 26thof January in I 950 India constitution carne into force.

' India is a democratic country where publia is authorized to elect its leaders to lead the country. Dr.Rajendra Prasad was our fiIst President oflndia. Since we got independence ftom the British rule in 1947,orlr count y has developed a lot and counted among the powerful countries. Together with somedevelopments, some drawbacks have also arisen such inequality, poverty, unemployment, conuption,illiteracy, etc. We need to take a pledge today for solving such problems in the society to make ourcountry a best country of the world.
