ACCORD
• The Academic & Clinical Central Office for Research & Development (ACCORD) is a joint office comprising clinical research management staff from NHS Lothian & the University of Edinburgh
• Established to streamline R&D support for clinical researchers in Edinburgh & to facilitate high quality collaborative research
• ACCORD provides central access to professional advice, expert regulatory support & world class clinical research infrastructure

• Medicine, the University of Edinburgh’s largest submission, was ranked in the top 5 in the UK
• Neuroscience was ranked 3rd in the UK out of 82 submissions
• Overall, 84% of the College’s research activity was rated world leading or internationally excellent (3* and 4*)
