Our students brought laurels to the institution by scoring 100% results in Board
Classes. In X Std Eighty-Four students passed out with distinction and among
them eight students scored above 90%. In XII General Stream Twenty-two
students passed out with distinction.

ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL COURSES
The passed-out batches of XII Std made the School Management, Principal and
Staff proud by securing admissions in various professional colleges on merit basis.
Out of twenty three students appeared for various competitive exams, twenty
students secured admission in professional courses like Engineering, NIFT, Agri-
Tech, B.F.Sc and B.Pharm.
It is a Matter of great pride that our school has introduced the ‘SMART CLASS’
for the students of class L.K.G to XII. Now we have eighteen classrooms installed
with Smart Boards as one more step ahead in providing quality education for the
holistic development of the children.
PARENT-TEACHER MEET
We firmly believe that positive communication between parents and teachers goes
a long way in improving the efficacy of education. We ensure active participation
of parents in the teaching learning process. Apart from regular periodic
communication between the teachers and parents PTM were held in the month of
August and November.

A training programme on ‘Fire Safety’ was
conducted by the Safety Dept, IR for all the staff

Workshop conducted by G.Ram Publication, the
resource person was MR. Himanshu Patel, the
principal of Modi School Rajkot.
The Objectives on Class control to control class, Innovation in teaching
methodology, education of tomorrow for tomorrow.
As a part of Legal Literacy Club activity, a workshop was organized for XII Std
students by Shri A.N. Patodia (Civil Judge, Veraval & Secretary of District Legal
Service Authority) and his team. They explained in detail about Anti Raging law,
Child rights, Right to Education act, Child marriage acts etc.
SAFETY ON ROADS
Measures to be taken for safety on roads and
rules to be followed for safety while driving
were explained to the students in the
morning assembly by Shri S.B.Chawda,
Asst.RTO, Veraval.
AWARENESS PROGRAMMES
.
Mr. Vijay Bhatt from Vinod Gas Agency guided girls of Std. VIII and IX about
safety in the kitchen and how to save fuel while cooking.
PROTECTION FOR A LIFETIME
As a part of nationwide MR vaccination campaign our students from KG section to
X std were vaccinated in the school premises on 16th July ‘18. State Health
Minister appreciated our school through a special video conference for achieving
98% of the target in vaccination.
INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT
The school is grateful to our management for ensuring the rapid acceleration in
the growth of our school by providing us support to create an enviable campus
infrastructure

VISITING DIGNITARIES
On 12.07.18, Captain K.Kocchar, Commanding Officer NCC Veraval Division
visited our school. He addressed all NCC Cadets in a special meeting and
motivated them with an inspiring speech.

Grasim Industries, Company Secretary,
Corporate Office, Mumbai paid a short visit
to our institution.
On 16.07.18, Dist. Collector Shri Ajay
Prakash and DDO Shri Ashok Sharma
visited our school to kick start the M R
Vaccination Campaign in the district.

It is said that life is a celebration of awakenings of new beginnings and wonderful
surprises that enlighten human soul.
Religious festivals like Saraswati Puja, Navratri and Christmas were celebrated
with befitting zeal.
National festivals like Independence Day, Teachers day and Gandhi Jayanti were
celebrated with enthusiastic vigor
OTHER IMPORTANT DAYS
YOGA DAY
World Yoga Day was observed on 21st June. The
programme comprises practice of yoga,
meditation, spreading awareness about yoga etc.
Near about 1000 students participated in this
programme
LIONS DAYWorld Lion’s Day was observed on
10th August. Students from Class IX & XI along
with their teachers stepped out for a rally. The
students had taken pledge to save our National
pride and created awareness among the local
public through slogans.
FUNCTIONS AND CELEBRATIONS

NATIONAL UNITY DAY
To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel our school
celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31st October, To mark the occasion a pledge
taking ceremony, Drawing competition and Elocution Competition were organized
The occasion provided the students an opportunity to reaffirm the strength and
resilience of our Nation to withstand the actual potential threats to the Unity,
Integrity and Security of our country.
NAVY DAY
Celebrated Nave Day on 4th
December in
the school premises addressed the NCC
cadets explaining the importance of
celebrating the day.
EDUCATIONAL VISITS
To gain practical knowledge and to upgrade skills students from class VIII visited
Veraval railway station. Providing students with high quality learning activities in
relevant situations beyond the wall students from VI Std visited ‘Hariharvan’
Somnath.

They learned more about trees and enjoyed in the lap of nature. Class XI Com
visited Merchantile Bank Veraval to acquire practical knowledge about banking.
Class VII visited Post Office, Veraval and Class X visited Coast Guard.
Educational visit for IX std was at CIFT, Veraval and XI Sc Biology students went
to Fisheries College, Veraval as a part of educational visits. To update and enrich
the knowledge in Information Technology, students of class XI and XII Sci. visited
IT Department of Indian Rayon Company on 5th
December.
ACT OF COMPASSION
“The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads
bowing in prayer”. As a part of social service programme students of XII
Commerce visited Blind School, Junagadh. They spent a whole day there and
generously contributed to support them financially. Class XII Sc paid a visit to the
Old Age Home;
Virpur and experienced the quality of empathy. Students of Std X, XI Sc and XI
Com visited Annakshetra, Somnath and contributed generously. To lend a hand to
the needy Std VI, VII, VIII &IX visited Langar Saibaba, Jalaram Annakshetra,
MofatiyaparaPrathamikshala and Dongreji Maharaj Trust, Veraval respectively.

Academic year 2018-19 was a remarkable year for ABHSS family as the success
stories continued this year also.
In Inter Aditya Birla Group School Debate competition this is the third
consecutive year that our students got selected for the final round and our
team is leaving to Chhattisgarh for the finals on 27th Jan ‘19. Last year we
were the winners in this competition.
District Science Center Somnath organised
District Level IT Quiz and Science Seminar on
18th August. In IT Rural Quiz our students got
selected to the State Level by winning First
Position in the District Level.
In Science Seminar Yash Fataniya from Class
IX B got eligible to participate in the State
Level on the topic ‘Industrial Revolution 4.0,
Are we Ready?”
AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS
.
Petroleum Conservation Research Association organized a drawing
competition for the students from Class VIII to X in our school premises on
the topic ‘Save fuel for Better Environment’.
First three position holders are Gopal Yadav
(XB), BhargavMakwana (XC) and Mohit
Makwana (VIII B).
Again, in Inter Aditya Birla One Act Play
competition our students paved way to the top
six and the team is leaving for the finals to
Nagda on 7th
February.

Competition organized by St.Mary’s School,
Veraval DivyangshaVadhavi (IVstd) secured
Second position and Krishna Shahu (IV std)
bagged Third position.
Sanskrit University Somnath celebrated Sanskrit
week with various competitions from 20th
August
to 25th
August at Sanskrit University, Veraval. Our students participated in
all the competitions and secured First position in Stotragan, Essay Writing,
Elocution, Rangoli and G.K.Quiz
.
As a part of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ SBI Life had organized an English
Essay Writing Competition on the topic “Eradicate Corruption – Build a
New India”. The First Prize Winners are Shruti Pal (VIII), Priya Sonariya
(IX) and Bhavya Bhatt (X).
In National Children’s Science Congress Priya Jethwani, Shruti Ray and
Kavita Yadav from XI Sc gave their presentation on the topic ‘Traditional
Knowledge System Diabetes Research Spark Awareness’. The team got
selected to the State Level.
In Inter School Duet Dance Competition organized by ABPS Veraval Tanu
Pal from VIII Std and DrashtiDamani from VII Std secured Second position.
In National Level Essay Writing Competition organized by Ramachandra
Mission Mansi Jani from XI Sc and YashviTanna from IX Std won
Certificates of Merit.
Our School Choir Group bagged First position in Sanskrit Group song
competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad
both in District and State Level.
In ‘Sanskrit Gyan Pariksha’ organized by
Gayatri pariwar, Bhavya Bhatt from X Std stood
First in the District level and participated in the
State Level.

This is another area in which we have not only made our presence felt but
have made ripples.
In U-14 Tennis Ball Cricket, our school represented Gir Somnath District in
the State Level. From the State Level competitions two of our students,
Ayush Singh and HarshilDhamal from VIII Std got selected to the National
Level.
Gujarat Secondary & Higher Secondary Board, Sports Department had organized
various competitions. Our students won the First Position in many events and got
selected for the STATE LEVEL COMPETITION.
Girls Basketball Team both U-17 and U-19 secured First position in District
level and participated in the State level.
Boys Teams made their way up to the State level by winning First position in
the District Level in U-19 Football, U-19 Basketball and u-19 Hockey.
Girls Kho-Kho Team U-17 won First Position in the Taluka Level and got
selected to the District Level.
Boys Volleyball Team U-17 and Boys Tug of War U-17 secured First
Position in the School Level and got selected to the District Level.
U-14 Boys Kabaddi Team won Second Position and got selected to the
District Level.
In U – 14 Season Ball Cricket, HarshilDhammal from VIII Std got selected
to participate in the State Level.
State Level Athletic Meet was organized by Gujarat Sports Authority in
Kheda, Nadiad in which Meghpratap Singh from IX Std bagged First
Position in 600 M race.
SPORTS & GAMES
.
In ‘Hill Shield Cricket Tournament’ organized by District Sports Training
Center our school won the Champion’s Trophy. PriyanshuChomal from X
Std was declared as the ‘Best Bowler’.
KHEL MAHAKUMBH
Our school hosted Athletics, Kabaddi and Kho Kho competition of Khel
Mahakumbh 2018 organized by Gujarat Sports Authority. District
Education Officer Shri Mayur Parekh was present at the inaugural function.
These events, happenings, plans, dreams, goals, outcomes, celebrations and results
were not possible without the support of my management. I would like to mention
about Shri H.S.Dagur on this occasion. Words can neither qualify nor quantify
how helpful your guidance and advice has been. The whole ABHSS family is
forever grateful for your support.
My sincere gratitude to Shri Subodh Gautam for extending compassion and
flexibility to us. Whatever may be the situation you have always been there as a
guide and true strength. I fondly remember the dedication of my team who
integrate faith, talent and hard work.
We rejoice in all our achievements and are grateful to each and every person who
directly or indirectly contributed their time, talent and care for the growth of this
institution.
