Course DescriptionCourse Description

• This course emphasizes how accounting information can be used to aid management in planning business activities, controlling operations, and making decisions that promote profitability and sustainability.

• Topics covered include financial statement analysis, budgeting, cost behavior, cost-volume-profit analysis, variance analysis, balanced scorecard, and relevant cost analysis in the decision-making process.

By the end of this course, you should be able to: • Categorize costs and cost behaviors.• Survey relationships in cost-volume-profit

Discussion Grading CriteriaDiscussion Grading Criteria

Discussion Board Requirements:• Students must post a minimum of 3 posts per

unit. 1 initial response and replies to 2 classmates

• Posting a minimum of 3 different days, for example: Wednesday, Friday and Monday

• The first post must be made by Saturday (11:59 pm ET)

• Initial post must be at least 100 words (not including any direct quotes, references)

• You can post and submit some assignments early but the assignments will not be graded early
