Para preguntas is o are deben ir delante del objeto sobre el que pregun-
tas. Por ejemplo:
(AFF) El libro está en la estantería. The book is on the shelf.
(INT) ¿Está el libro en la estantería? —> Is the book on the shelf?

1.– ¿Tienes (tú)…? Se dice: Have you got…?
Have you got a red pen?. ¿Tienes un boli rojo?
Have you got my book? ¿Tiene mi libro?
Fíjate como cambia el orden de las palabras de AFF. a INT.
You have got an English book. —> Have you got an English book?
EXERCISE THREE: Unjumble the word to make sentences.
MR. CLEARUP Como ya sabes no es lo mismo hablar en singular o en plural.
Para preguntar si tienes algo necesitas usar “a” cuando es singular y “any” cuando es plu-ral. “A” significa uno, una, un. “ANY” tiene muchos significados diferentes como: algo, alguno, varios, y hasta puede no traducirse. También solo se usa en preguntas y frases negativas.
¿Tienes hermanos? Have you got any brothers or sisters?

I haven’t got a toothbrush in my bathroom.
AFFIRMATIVE.
Yo tengo —> I have got = I’ve got
Tú tienes —> You have got = You’ve got
NEGATIVE.
Yo no tengo —> I have not got = I haven’t got
Tú no tienes —> You have not got = You haven’t got

1.– APOSTROPHES. En inglés podemos unir algunas palabras con un apóstrofe (‘) y quitando algunas letras también. Por ejemplo:
Una letra: I am —> I’m It is —> It’s They are —> They’re
Dos letras: I have got —> I’ve got It has got —> It’s got
MR. CLEARUP POSTCARDS.
Si quieres escribir una postal debes poner lo siguiente:
1. Saludar: Dear Mary
2. Decir donde estás: I’m at the beach. (no la ciudad)
3. Algo que puedes hacer allí: I can ride my bike.
4. Hablar del lugar diciendo lo que tiene: It’s got a delicious restaurant next to the hotel.
5. Si te gusta: I like it a lot. Puedes añadir otras ideas.
6. Despedida: Love from: (tu firma)

It is fast or slow —> Es rápida o lenta.
It’s loud or quiet —> Es ruidosa (fuerte) o tranquila (baja)
