Hello ABWA Sisters,
I hope all of your holidays were filled with special memories to last you through the new year. Time goes so fast, it seems impossible we’re starting 2016. In this newsletter, I’m sharing some events we’ve planned for this year. In February, we will be having another “Wine and cheese Meet and Greet” before our meeting. It will start at 5:45 pm and go until the meeting begins at 6:45 pm. I encourage each member to invite at least one guest. We’d like to build our chapter and share what we have with other wonderful women. Remember that all new members can take many more classes online than ever before.
We have four great speakers for the first four months of this year. Our own Loren West will speak on January 27 on How to Run a Successful Project”. On February 24, Kellie-Lupe Smith will be sharing how to choose the best priorities in life. On March 23, Elissa Glickman, the chief executive officer of Glendale Arts will be our speaker and on April 27, Our own Debbie Kukta will speak.
Our annual fashion show will take place on April 30. I hope all of you invite many of your friends and neighbors to enjoy it with us. Please assist with selling opportunity tickets and in other ways. I hope this list of events helps you plan your calendar accordingly. Wishing you all a happy and fruitful new year,
Ardis Bazyn ABWA Verdugo-Glen President

October / November / December4
In October, our speaker was member Toni Washington, owner MissFit Activewear, LLC. She spoke on “How to Fund Your Next Project” giving many resources to assist in project development. Contact her for lots of ideas. In November and December, our meetings were set-up to allow lots of networking time and relationship building. November’s Bunco night challenged all of us and gave us time to mingle. In December, we shared a delicious meal together and had fun with the Chinese gift exchange.
February MeetingOur February speaker topic title is: “An Inside Look into How We Make Change and Reach Goals”.
Key talking points:1. To set new year resolutions or not set new year resolutions, that is the question.
2. We all motivate ourselves differently. What’s your strategy and is it working for you?
3. The unconscious mind needs appreciation for previous accomplishments. Have you told yourself lately how awesome you are?
Join us on February 24, 2016 for wine and cheese networking at 5:45 PM.
