Using mind mapping technique to improve vocabulary of Year 3

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to improve and overcome problems
faced by the
pupils in vocabulary, and so that they can remember and
memorize more
vocabulary. This will help the pupils to improve their essay
writing skills. Those
choosen for the research are four of the Year 3 Aktif pupils ,
from S !ukit "entok.
A diagnostic test which was conducted before this shows
pupils are weak in
vocabulary. !ecause of this, they face di#culties in
understanding the lesson.
$urthermore, this limits the pupils% ability to arrange words to
make a complete
sentence.The research is conducted to overcome these pupils%
problems and
di#culties. This research encourages peer and group work among
the pupils.
&ventually, the pupils are more encouraged to increase their
list of vocabulary. The
dictionary and te'tbook are the main source of their reference
material.
