This story teaches us an important lesson. Begin with the T and write every other letter on the lines. Continue until you’ve used all the letters. You’ll discover what two things we need for Jesus to come help us like he did the centurion.
How happy the centurion must have felt when Jesus said, “I will come.” Yet, the centurion told Jesus NOT to come! He believed in Jesus so much that he told him, “You don’t have to come to my house. Just say the word and my servant will be healed.”

Levi, the Nosy Lamb[ PA R T 3 ]
“Who is it?” Levi wondered.“WHAT is it, in fact?I’ve never seen a creatureas beautiful as that.”
“It isn’t any animalI’ve ever seen before. And it isn’t man or woman,of that I’m pretty sure.”
Then Levi heard the creature speak, and did he get an earful!“Hello, Mary,” it began,“God thinks you’re very special.”
Mary looked a bit afraidand even quite confused.“Don’t worry, Mary, God sent meto give you some good news.”
“I am the angel Gabriel, and I hope that you’ll agreeto be the mother of God’s Son,the Savior, as you’ll see.”
“How can this be?” asked Mary,“I am not married yet.”“God will make this happenthrough the power of the Spirit.”
Well, Levi couldn’t even speak;this took his breath away. What would Mary do?What would Joseph say?

Fourth Thursday AdventD E C E M B E R 2 3
Today’s Gospel » Luke 1:57–66 It was the day to name Elizabeth’s baby. The priest was going to name
the baby Zechariah, who was Elizabeth’s husband. Zechariah had been unable to speak for months. He asked for a writing tablet and wrote the name
he wanted for the baby. Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue freed, and he began to speak, praising God (1:63–64).
When the angel Gabriel appeared to Zechariah and told him his wife would have a baby, Gabriel told Zechariah what name to give the baby. Zechariah couldn’t believe that his wife, who was very old, could still have a baby. Gabriel then told him that because he doubted God’s power, he would not be able to speak until after the baby was born.
Solve these rebus puzzles to discover each letter in the name Zechariah wrote.
