symmetry WiMAX provides broadband wireless access for a variety of fixed and portable applications. The WiMAX Sub Band Controller (WSBC) switches IP packets between the core network and the symmetry WiMAX airlink ensuring that traffic reaches its destination while meeting its QoS parameters.

The WSBC supports all the mandatory WiMAX features. In addition, it also supports the optional WiMAX features (such as Space-Time Coding, Sub-channelling, and ARQ) that allow symmetry to deliver the best-in-class spectral efficiency and the longest NLOS range available in the industry.

The WSBC high-speed packet processing capabilities and state-of-the-art wireless scheduling algorithms eliminate capacity bottle-necks. As a software definable radio, it supports both 802.16-2004 and 802.16e; thus ensuring that in the future, operators can upgrade their networks quickly.
