Assignments must be fully aligned and

mapped to units, LOs and ACs.

Assignment briefs must contain all the

information the learner needs:

• clear explanation of required activities

• the unit(s), LOs and ACs to be addressed

• the evidence the learner must produce

• signposting to any relevant resources

For ABP purposes, either a ‘pass/

achieved’ or ‘fail/not achieved’ outcome.

Centres can attach internal grading

(pass, merit, distinction) if they choose.

The ABP EQA monitors the same aspects as the Centre IQA.

The EQA will check that both the Assessor and the IQA have fulfilled all the requirements of their role.
