Tucked into the ruggedly serene Ozark Mountains of Missouri, Big Cedar Lodge, part of the Bass Pro Shops family, is a 4,600-acre haven of natural beauty, overlooking the sparkling 43,000-acre Table Rock Lake. With genuine Ozarks hospitality and unmatched attention to detail, this premier wilderness resort has received numerous awards including being named the number one resort in the Midwest by Travel + Leisure Magazine in 2016, 2017 and 2018. The resort features a collection of lodges, cottages and cabins rooted in rustic elegance and complete with all of the modern comforts and amenities. Uniforms

Uniforms in each department vary. All departments provide uniform tops.

You are required to provide pants and neutral colored tennis shoes.

If you are working in Culinary, you will be required to bring or purchase

Knifes and Non-skid shoes upon arrival. Big Cedar has a knife set and

Non-skid shoe program with payroll deduction available in Human

Recourses upon arrival.

Employee Housing We offer same gender housing for employees, though space may

be limited. The housing option for Summer 2020 interns is

dormitory style housing. Please contact Human Resources for

more information.

Seminar Series

Attend various classes designed to give internship participants an

overview of the many aspects of hospitality operations and

management. Seminars are facilitated by department leaders who

introduce their divisions and career paths.

Fun Mountain Fun Mountain is a fast-paced environment. Learn to provide world-class hospitality and work with guests from around the globe. Marina Gain experience in marina operations by observing multiple facets of business, such as scheduling, financial reporting, sales training, inventory control and retail management. The Activities team creates a positive, fun and safe environment for teammates and guests. Assist with the development, implementation and supervision of the activities for guests at Big Cedar Lodge! Learn to enhance guest experience though activities and programs.

Golf Course Maintenance Interns will play an integral role by being directly involved in all facets of golf course maintenance! Focus will be placed on learning golf course setup, programing and applications, irrigation control and maintenance, business administration, and developing the professional leadership and communication skills. Golf Operations The golf course operations internship program at offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience throughout all stages of golf operations! Interns are involved in all facets of golf operations at PGA tournament-ready courses. Culinary Participate in multiple aspects of kitchen operations! The culinary department offers an array of cooking styles, including 7 in-dining restaurants, a banquet and production kitchen, large quantity bakery and fine dining specialty cooking. Food and Beverage Train in world-class dining options ranging from casual to fine dining! Establish a full understating of stations within a restaurant and learn to provide genuine Ozarks hospitality. Assist and shadow management in planning schedules, budgeting, and controlling labor costs.
