Shannon (1916 - 2001), the father of Information Theory. Shannon contributed to many allied fields such as digital circuit design theory and cryptography. The two day workshop features technical talks, student poster presentations, and a student research discussion forum to bring together academicians, students, and engineering professionals in related fields to commemorate the contributions of Shannon. The second day, December 14 th , will feature a student poster presentation contest followed by student talks and a student research discussion forum. The detailed program schedule is available at http://www.ieeekerala.org/scwcit/program.html. Registration is mandatory for participation (Registration Fee: |200 [IEEE members] and |300 [Non members]). The workshop will offer complimentary registrations to top students from ECE, EE, CS, and IT. Registration opens on 25 th September, 2016. CALL FOR POSTERS (Students only) The workshop invites poster of an expository nature or showcasing recent research in any allied fields. Interested students can upload a 2-page summary of their posters with the given formatting guidelines (URL:http://www.ieeekerala.org/scwcit/posters.html). Students of the ac- cepted poster summaries will get an opportunity to display their posters on 14 th December. A selected few will be given an opportunity for a lightning talk, from which the best poster will be awarded. Submission Deadline: 20th th Nov, 2016 Acceptance Notification: 1 st Dec, 2016
