About SSO

SSO (Saints Service Organization) is Lakewood Catholic Academy’s Parent Teacher Organization Our Mission: • Serving  the  LCA  community  through  volunteer  and  fund  raising  efforts  • Ensuring  efficient  coordina;on  of  ac;vi;es  that  benefit  LCA  • Building  rela;onships  within  the  LCA  community  to  enhance  the  Catholic  educa;on  experience.  

 

SSO  reports  to  the  President  of  LCA  and  works  together  to  plan,  budget  and  execute  events  throughout  the  school  year.

Green Initiative

Yearbook

• What: Capturing the current school year’s activities and organizing them for publishing in the annual yearbook.

Did You Know? • SSO donates the equivalent of over $150,000 in volunteer hours annually.

• SSO provides lunch for faculty and staff on the second Tuesday of every month.

• SSO facilitates LCA’s largest attendance event--Grandparent’s Day.

• SSO is responsible for bringing the anti-bullying program, Rachel’s Challenge, to all LCA students K-8 • SSO provides classroom supply funds and Christmas bonuses to teachers

• SSO manages multiple rewards programs that earn more than $5,000 in funds and equipment annually • SSO provides funding each year for improvement projects. Past gifts have included renovation of the school clinic, the keyless entry system, replacement of all folding event tables, renovation of the faculty lounge, replacement of all folding chairs, state of the art drinking fountains, just to name a few.
