The ILO has established a number of conventions which it wants all countries to adopt to eradicate child labour.

On this World Day the ILO is calling for:

• Universal ratification of the ILO’s Conventions on child labour (and of all ILO core Conventions).

• National policies and programmes to ensure effective progress in the elimination of child labour.

• Action to build the worldwide movement against child labour.

Child Labour is the Playfair campaign focused on the Olympic Games.

• This is a campaign for the end to sweat shop practices, including the employment of children, associated with companies advertising in the Olympics, including many brand names you may be familiar with.
