From intimate group bookings to large corporate events, Melbas can accommodate groups from 10-800 people in size. Whether

Our Functions & Events team can assist with all aspects of the event planning, from conception through to the execution of yo ur
event. From selecting your event space, to planning the perfect food and beverage menus as well as theming and event design –
our team can ensure that your event is nothing short of spectacular while keeping you stress free.
Catering is a breeze with our function menus that have been designed to suit a variety of tastes, and special dietary requirements

MELBAS FUNCTION SPACES
Melbas is uniquely versatile as a Functions and Events venue, thanks to the four distinct areas of the venue available for us e, and
our ability to accommodate groups of any size up to 800 people.
THE FUNCTION ROOM
The Function Room is located on the Beach Road side of
Melbas, with a separate entrance via a porte-cochere.
This private room has a full bar that runs the length of
the room, and can host events for 50 – 200 guests.
Room hire is free, and this versatile room is perfect for
cocktail style events, can accommodate bands and
entertainment and is capable of seating up to 150
people for banquet style sit down events.
THE VIP BAR
For those events where exclusivity is key, the Melbas
VIP bar offers a private space where guests can be
indulged in superior service with a personal waitress.
With a capacity of 60, the VIP bar is fully stocked with
premium beverages and platters are able to be served
from the kitchen. Situated on level 2 of Melbas, the VIP
bar also has an outdoor smoking balcony that looks over
central Cavill Avenue and the Park.

THE RESTAURANT
Able to seat up to 70 guests in a formal dining area and in booths overlooking the
park, the Melbas restaurant can host functions for a variety of occasions. Options of
a la carte, set menus and platters are available as well as premium beverage
packages
THE MAIN BAR
With a capacity of up to 850, there is endless potential for hosting Functions and
Events in the Main Bar. The expansive central island bar is surrounded by various
seating options including booths, high tables and bar seats. Pool tables are located
at the southern end of the bar, along with the DJ and dancefloor and big screen for
watching live sport
