40 years of Abingdon Concert BandThe band was formed in 1977 as Abingdon Military Band and the formation of instruments remains the same as that found in modern military bands. Over the years the band has given around 200 public performances. The band plays a range of music from classic concert band pieces to film scores and television music, musicals, Disney and contemporary arrangements for concert band. In our 40th year we have enjoyed bringing you music indoors and out, on occasion with our friends from Abbey Brass, all washed down with a swig of Hornblower. Many thanks for your continued support.
