Abijit Ganguly Stand-Up Comedian

Abijit Ganguly has been performing as a Stand-Up artist for four years now, and is presently around 300+ shows old (stage shows, pub gigs, college shows and corporate gigs). His humour is essentially anything and everything he finds funny, be it stereotype observations, alcoholism, office experience, student life, relationships, parties, bengali-punjabi tussle, beggars, Facebook, societal problems, middle class life, etc.

Mostly, his sets are observation-fuelled anecdotes and he relies on audience relating to what they hear in order to get the laughs.

Abijit has performed extensively in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Calcutta, Pune, Chennai, Chandigarh, Coimbatore Ahmedabad, etc. He has performed regularly in the Best of Stand-up lineup at The Comedy Store, Mumbai and was part of India’s first English stand-up festival, the Weirdass Comedy Festival

Having worked in MNCs such as Hewitt Associates and Deloitte Consulting, Abijit is one of the few English stand-up comics who speak the language that corporates typically speak. His woes about office life relates beautifully to both top and middle management. Be it cracks on HR department, time-consuming reimbursement process or the painful procedure of filling timesheets, Abijit makes a strong connect to the corporate Junta during his stand-up routine.
