Clothing/style Plain, basic clothes, no brands or graphics, no bright colours, she is usually covered up which hides her bruises.

Hairstyle Straight and down, or in a plait/braid.

Grew up Near Birmingham, father died in a 'boating accident' on 14th Feb 2000, middle-class family, money is not wasted, plain style of living.

Educated Normal primary school where she met Maddie Hilberg, who is also her neighbour, all girls high-school which was situated next to an all boys high-school which is how she met John as they both caught the bus together to and from school, beginning to prepare for further studies in teaching at a regular college just before her death.

Humour She can be funny when she is relaxed but she rarely gets the chance as her mother is very strict and doesn't always allow her to go places with her friends.

Personality Shy, friendly, A grade student, slightly paranoid at times due to her mother, insecure in relationships, quite trusting, brave and not afraid to skip school to have fun.

Various stories in the newspaper and on the news of mothers killing their children for not being 'religious' enough mainly the case of Shafilea Ahmed, who's friends did not speak up at first about the suspicions they had about her parents [Holly's character Maddie]

The case of Rebecca Aylward who was killed by her boyfriend for a 'free breakfast'

These things will help my acting because I now understand more about my character and what she has been based on. I now also know how long she has known the other characters in the play which will help with my onstage relationships and overall performance and connection with the character and other characters.
