Subject: ASBESTOS - FORBES STREET LEVEL 5 - RADIO MAINTENANCE

As a result of a material sample being handed to me for analysis by A/Prop 'O' (R), the attached results have been advised.

I have inspected the area and instructed the carpenter-

(1) Not to continue the work any further�(2) To replace the cornice which will .afford a safe barrier

between the affected area (roof void) and the workarea.

The asbestos in the form of a sandwich fire plug between the floor levels is not, I believe, hazardous to Staff. The sample was selected by reac�ing up to the suspected material and prising it from its location. It is in good condition and not accessible, unless the ceiling of the area is demolished.

Please consult the Register prior to .issJ.i.i�ng instructions to the ABC Staff, or contractors, to commence any building works.
