A Simple Start•We are to have the mind of Christ.

•He said in Matthew 7:24-27 (wise man, foolish man).

•What do we do to leave our comfort zones?

•We start with the simple things, the ABC’s

not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

•Bereans “more noble” (Acts 17:11)

Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

They left their comfort zone!

Christ Like

•It’s easier to conform but look at (Romans 12:1-2)

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.

•By following Christ we let our light shine. (Matt. 5:16)

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Christ Like

•Paul counted it all as rubbish (Philippians 3:8)

Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

•It’s as easy as ABC, but harder than making no progress at all!
