We are coming together to protect all species and the beauty of the Creator that each one reveals. You are invited to a workshop at 7:30pm on Tuesday 27th of August in the Ballybrown/Clarina Commu- nity Resource Centre . Trócaire will share stories of their experiences at a global level. Sr Bey Baker will share praccal resources and ideas for liturgies and acons in your own parish during the Season of Creaon. We thank you for your very generous support to Fr Tim. Grandparents Pilgrimage, Knock Shrine 2019 The 2019 pilgrimage will take place on Sunday 8 th of September at the Shrine of Our Lady of Knock. This annual pilgrimage is a special day for grandparents and families, and a wonderful oppor- tunity to acknowledge the great contribuon that grandparents make to Church, to family, and to soci- ety in teaching and passing on the faith. Many Catholics can tesfy to the profound influence of a Grandparent and the development and nurturing of their own faith. The seeds your Grandparents plant in childhood may not seem to bloom for some me, but they go deep into the soil. This is the only purpose of The Catholic Grandparents Associaon, to help and support Grandparents in their great task. May they rest in peace The Annual Mass in the Reilig Ide Naofa Graveyard will take place on Thursday 22nd August at 7pm. Clean up takes place every Tuesday from 7-8pm. Families are encouraged to maintain their own graves and one near yours if that family is no longer able to. Looking forward to a great turnout on the night. The committee appreciates any help you can give. On behalf of parishioners we thank the graveyard committees for all the work they do in our three graveyards. It is very much appreciated by everyone in the community. More volunteers are always welcome. St Ita’s Faith Camp: Thanks to all who organised and assisted with the recent faith camp that took place on the first week of August. Up to 50 children and young people took part in the camp and several volunteers assisted in running the camp. Thanks to all the families who hosted visiting workers and volunteers. The camp was directed by Fr Patrick Cahill and was organised locally by the St Ita’s Faith Camp Committee. It was a great week in the life of the parish and will bring many blessings to all who were involved. We are already looking forward to next year’s camp. Bereavement Support Informaon Evening will take place in Milford Care Centre on Tue 27th August 2019 from 7pm - 8.30pm. The Bereavement Informaon evening is designed to give general informaon on grief and bereavement to bereaved people, their family and friends. Bereavement Counsellors will be in aendance to provide general informaon on Grief and Bereavement. The evening will comprise of: Short talk by a Bereavement Counsellor, Differ- ent experiences of Grief, Services available, Queson Time. The Informaon Evening is Free Palliave Care Week 2019 AIIHPC and our partners are now planning for Palliave Care Week 2019, Sunday 8 to Satur- day 14 September 2019. The theme for this year is Palliave Care: Surrounding You With Support. Palliave Care Week aims to raise awareness of the difference palliave care can make to paents, carers and families throughout the island of Ireland. Working with partners and colleagues across the palliave care sector and with other organisaons and individuals interested in health and wellbeing, AIIHPC has facilitated an annual Palliave Care Week since 2014. In 2019 Palliave Care Week will focus on how people with palliave care needs are being supported in the community. This could involve support from primary care (such as GPs, Public Health Nurses, District Nurses), from hospice, hospital, nursing home, and wider community support beyond formal health and social care services.
