What is the purpose of Web Browser?

� To provide system diagnosisfunctionality

� To provide Process diagnosisfunctionality

� Loading RTU 560 configuration files

� Loading RTU 560 firmware

� To access local archive function

� Administration of the web server

Accessing the WEB Browser

The web browser could be access through

� MMI port on the CPU card SLIO2 or ETH 02/ 03

� Ethernet connection via Ethernet RJ 45 port over ETH 02/03 CPU card

� Ethernet connection via E1/E2 on CMU05 – Pantai Remis is using this CMU

� Misconception : Port 1,2, A & B are not Ethernet port, they are serial port

Setting up the network Accessing the RTU

� To access, connect your PC LAN port with RTU’s E1

� Change your PC’s IP address to be in the domain

� Set the IP to 192.168.0.xx for connecting to E1

� Set the IP to 192.168.1.xx for connecting to E2

� Once this has set, start the Mozilla, Google chrome or internet Explorer

� Type RTU IP’s on the address section : 192.168.0.1

Common Problem : Ping Test Here is another simple test to verify connection.

Some PC’s has the IP’s locked so need to unlock before you can use it.

To test whether the IP is already changed

Go to Start->run

Type in the Open box : CMD

Then press OK

Common Problem : Ping Test Here is another simple test to verify connection.
