Sometimes we face following below issue:­

Express document “Update was terminated” received from author “XXXXX”.

Error Message

 

Since its an SAP Database Update related error, we can analyse the same using T­Code SM13. Which shows update tasks relatederrors and analysis.

Also since it looks like a number range related error, we can check the relevant number range object and match the Number RangeCounter in relevant interval(NR Status in Number Range Intervals) with the last number consumed in the relevant document table(likeQMEL in above case).

Thanks for the info, I had a similar error and checking at SM13 helped to find that it was is User­lock which restricted the update.
