• Estimator is an interactive, PC-based, stand-alone cost estimation system for highway construction.

• Part of AASHTO Trns•port Suite• Many U.S. states use Estimator

including: – NY, Maine, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania,

Creating a New EstimateCreating a New Estimate

• Estimates are made up of an estimate header, a group list, and a group’s item list– In the future, project templates will be

created– Templates will have the common items

filled in– For Consultants, templates will be stored

on the CTDOT Internet

• On Main menu, select File->New• Save the Estimate file
