Dear AASAP/UK Colleagues, I hope that you find the 2007 edition of AASAP/UK’s Faculty Directory a useful tool when seeking to hire lecturers. It is one of three main documents (along with our Programme Directory and Library List) produced by AASAP/UK for the benefit of member programs. This Faculty Directory is divided into three sections: the main section contains a subject-by-subject list of lecturers who presently teach, or have taught, for US study-abroad programs in the UK; the second section is an alphabetical list of lecturers in the Directory; and, finally, the third section consists of lecturers who have little experience with US programmes, but would like to be considered for teaching posts. CVs of these lecturers (and some administrative staff) can be obtained by contacting the individual directly. We have tried to make the Directory as up-to-date and accurate as possible and we apologise in advance for any mistakes you might find. In order to increase the accuracy and utility of the Directory in years to come, I would encourage you to follow the steps below. Before the next edition is published, please: · Check the Directory for accuracy of information (especially contact details) for the

lecturers who teach for your programs, · Alert us as to any errors or corrections, · Encourage other experienced lecturers on your programs to supply their details to the

editor, · Help us find new individuals by encouraging lecturers inexperienced in the US system (i.e.,

those who cold-call you or send a CV through the post) to send us their details for inclusion in the next Directory,

· Ask your lecturers to verify the accuracy of their entry and to send additional information

for inclusion in the next edition, · Make sure to access the annual renewal form on our web-site. Please distribute the form

to all lecturers whom you would recommend for inclusion in the next edition,

· Tell us how we can make the Directory a more useful tool for you and your programs. Additions or corrections should be sent to: Corinne Rowland AIFS Dilke House Malet Street London WC1E 7JN Email: [email protected] Best Wishes, Laurie Koehler Chair, AASAP/UK
