I. Top of Page

1. In the upper right corner will be your name as well as a place to log out of your portal.

2. The top of the portal will indicate you are a “Volunteer”.

3. If you wish to change any of your contact information (address, email, phone, etc), please click on the “Edit Contact and Address Info” link.

4. Your address, phone number, and email that is on file with Vassar College.

5. Contact information (name, phone number, and email address) for the Chair/s of your AAP region will be displayed under the “Thank you for serving…”message. If there are multiple Co-chairs for your region, both names and contact information should appear.

*If no information appears, it means there currently is not an active Chair for your region and interviews will be assigned by the VCAAP team.

6. For your reference, under the “Alumnae/i Interview Program” there is a link to the AAP Interview Handbook. A copy of the Best Practices Agreement you signed when you first logged into your portal is included at the end of the handbook.

7. On the right side of the page is the contact information for the AAP leadership team, the Office of Admission, and the Office of Financial Aid.

8. The “Resources” link will bring you to the resources page of the AAP Website. This includes information such as the: AAP Handbook, Calendar of AAP Activities, Vassar at a Glance, Frequently asked Questions, International Frequently Asked Questions, and archived e-newsletters.

II. My Interview Assignments:

1. Under the “My Interview Assignments,” are the important dates for interview report submissions for ED1, ED2, and RD rounds.

*NOTE: If you are unable to interview a student before the deadline for a particular round, please contact your Chair/Co-Chairs immediately.

2. If there are no interviews assigned to you it will read “You have no current assignments”. (See Figure 2)

3. If you do have an interview assignment, it will show up like this with limited information about the applicant. (See Figure 3)

4. If the interview has been assigned to you but you have not submitted a report, it will say “Pending” under the status. When you complete and submit an interview report the status will change to “Completed” the next time you log into your portal.

5. “Round” indicates the application round through which the student applied. ED I = Early Decision I; ED II = Early Decision II; Reg = Regular Decision

6. The “Decision” Column refers to the student’s application decision and status. This field will be blank until after admission decisions are released. After decisions are released, the status will update as the status may change. Types of statuses you will see are listed in Figure 3.

Withdraw Once admitted students submit their Candidate’s Reply Card their status will change to:

Applicant Declines Admission When a student pays their enrollment deposit, their Decision will be:

III. Setting up an Interview:

To access more detailed information about an applicant, including contact information and academic interests, click on the student’s name. A pop up box will appear and you can use this information to call or email the student to set up a date, time, and location to interview. (See Figure 4)

IV. Submitting an Interview Report

After an interview is complete, click on the applicant’s name to reveal the pop up box. You can submit an interview report by clicking on the “Submit Report” link. (See Figure 5)

You will receive an automated email after you submit your interview report confirming the report has been received. Figure 5:

After an interview report has been submitted, the next time you log into your AAP Portal the “Status” for that applicant will show as “Completed.” (See Figure 6) Figure 6:
