AAP Chair Activities– Instructed at BSS (Course Director) in SAT in February.– Attended IFALPA Conference in NZ in March as IFALPA RVP
Can/Arctic.– Chaired IFALPA Conference Committee “C” in NZ– Instructed at AI2 in April.– Instructed at AI3 in GFK in June.– Attended the IFALPA AAP meeting in Casablanca in May as the
ALPA-Canada AAP representative.– Overseeing activities for the Jazz MEC as the Chief Accident
Investigator.– Working with staff & EASC to oversee budget and re-allocate
funding where possible.

AAP Chair working with staff on monitoring ’09 budget.AAP Chair attended January and April SOC meetings in Herndon, VA.SIA team continues work on ASIAS.Various FOQA/ASAP/ASIAS meetings attended by Brit Etzold, Marc Champion and Hank Yaap.Hank Yaap retired in March 2009.Marc Champion appointed by Captain Kay to replace him in April 2009.

Working with EASC to re-allocate AAP funds to allow the Group work to continue in 2009.– Went from 30 to 5 Projects– We are anticipating restoring some of the funding
Worked with staff to close some projects. Recommended closing down Accident Survival Directorate.Recommended AXS projects be closed, or transferred to ADO and AGE as that is where most of the work falls under. (Some of this already done!)

Steve Erickson continues working on JIMDAT and CAST activities. AIB continues to work numerous accidents. Here are just a few:– DAL 18 – 11/26/08– ASA 5533 – 3/1/09– UAL 267 – 2/25/08– EGL 3085 – 5/21/2009– UAL 1449 – 10/20/08

2009 has been interesting so far!We have had some staff turnover, but we have filled the staff responsibilities quite nicely!We have a great group of pilot volunteers and we are up to the challenge!We look forward to a productive last half of the year and a great 2010.Thanks to all the volunteers and staff who help make this look easy!
