Judge Cindy S. Lederman, J.D.
She is a U.S. circuit judge (children's court) of the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida in Miami. Lederman has servedin the Miami-Dade Juvenile Court since 1994, including 10 years as presiding judge. She has helped to bring thescience of early childhood development to the courtroom for families involved with child welfare, advocating forvulnerable children and their families. Lederman served as the liaison from the National Council of Juvenile andFamily Court Judges to the AAP Task Force on Foster Care.
