The weekend of June 19-20, HHS Class of 1980 celebrated their 30th class reunion in style. They kicked off the festivities Friday evening, June 18 with a “Meet and Greet” at First South Bank Community Center in Brownsville, followed by a Saturday after-noon “Family Bunch and Brunch”, and later enjoyed a “Saturday Night Gala Banquet” which was held at the Holiday Inn Universi-ty of Memphis site.

Sunday afternoon, the Class of 1980 closed out with a successful “Send Off Bash”.

Saturday’s activi-ties included a balloon release honoring de-ceased classmates.

Also, during the weekend festivities, the Class of 1980 made donations to three of

their classmates: One who suffered loss due to a major car ac-cident (Linda Hollo-way Shaw), another due to a devastating

house fire (Frankie Snipes Conley), and another due to the re-cent flooding (Sandra Chapman).
