Defining the Foundation Type

To select the foundation type:

• Select the EDIT FOUNDATION menu.

When the FOUNDATION window appears, choose PILE and select the Embeded,

Rectangle and Rigid options. Press the O.K button to proceed to next step.

After pressing the OK button the Pile Foundation window appears.

To enter Pile Cap Details:

• Press the PILE CAP button.

• After pressing the button the Footing Base Dimensions and Data Window appears.

• Enter the needed pile cap data if you know them. If not press calculate and enter

the data of each element in the pile cap and the program will calculate the needed

data.

• Press the O.K button to proceed. Now, the Pile Foundation window will appear

again.

• Press the PILES button to enter the coordinates of the piles as shown below

• Enter the pile properties and the pile material properties data as shown below

• Select the Fixed Head and the End-Bearing Tip options.

• Press the O.K button to proceed.

• After pressing the O.K button the Pile Foundation window will appear again.

• Press the PILE-SOIL button to enter the data of the soil layer as shown below.

• Select the Layered and the Interaction options.

• Within the Pile Element tab enter the Pile details.

• Within the Soil Element tab enter the soil details

• Press the O.K button to continue. The Pile Foundation window will appear

again.

• Press the SOIL BELOW button to enter the properties of the soil below the

tip of the piles as show below.

When the Harmonic Load Data window appears, choose the Output Phase Angle

checkbox and enter harmonic load details as shown in the above Figure.

To enter the vertical out of phase force:

• Select the “out of phase” option.

• Press on the Phase Shift button.

When the “Phase Shift Angles for the Harmonic Loads” window appears, enter 90 in the

phase shift for force in Z-Dir. Box, 90 in the phase shift for the moment about X-Dir. Box

and Press the O.K button.

Defining the Load

To select the load type:

• Select the LOAD menu.

When the LOAD window appears, choose HARMONIC and Press the O.K button to

proceed to next step.
