HOW TO GET THERE
From ferry terminal at Craignure
Come off the ferry at Craignure and turn right following the A849 towards
Tobermory.
Follow this road for approx. 11 miles to the village of Salen. Puffer Cottage is located on
the right after the Spar shop. Puffer Cottage is attached to Smiddy Cottage and it is the
one on the left of this cream-painted traditional stone building. The entrance to Puffer
Cottage is via the back door and can be reached by turning right down Pier Road. Guests
can pull in and unload on Pier Road just beyond the end of the cream painted gable end.
Please note: Parking is at the rear of the building accessed from the main road between
the Spar shop and Smiddy Cottage.
You can get the ferry easily from Oban. It is a 45min sailing to Craignure on the Isle of
Mull. This ferry connects with trains and buses on the mainland. It is advisable to book
cars at all times, and you MUST purchase your ticket before getting on the ferry.
