A Workaround to load a TVDSS or TVDSRD log in a deviated well in HRS-9

Create a Dummy Well

Create a dummy well with the KB and surface elevation as 0. We will load the deviation geometry into this well.

Load the Deviation File

Load the deviation .txt file as a check shot file.

View the File Format

Skip 21 rows at the top. The depth data is in the 2nd column.

Set the Well Settings

Set the well settings at 0 (the same as the Surface value).

Load the Logs

Load all the logs as check shot logs.

Correct the KB value in the Well

Change the KB value to the real value (38.4 m in this example).

Export the Log

Export the log in HRS as we want this log value in measured depth.
