2 What is CRC?
The Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) is a mandatory trading scheme which came into effect on the 1st of April 2010. Administered by the Environment Agency, it affects any organisation which received settled half hourly metered electricity in 2008. Organisations that had more than 6,000MWh half hourly metered electricity in 2008 - which means an annual bill of approximately £500,000 - will need to participate in all scheme requirements.

3. Outsourced Administrative Compliance Cost-effectively remove your CRC administrative burden by using an RPS CRC assistant. Can be based in your office for registration, data capture, evidence pack compilation and annual submission.
4. CRC Manager Your data will be stored in our CRC Manager software. This is powered by the latest version of the RPS internet based BHI® interactive risk management tool.
5. CRC Audit certificate An internal ‘audit certificate’ must be
signed by an individual who exercises management control to confirm that records are complete, correct and adequate. RPS can minimise the risk of Environment Agency fines by verifying your organisation’s certificate.
6. Carbon Allowance Trading – RPS can provide you with support through the carbon trading process to maximise return on your expenditure.
7. Energy Efficiency Auditing The audit results show you how to
materially reduce your organisation’s energy consumption.
8. Energy Efficiency Solutions Our recommendations are designed
