The Synergistic Modules system was created to revolutionize learning at the middle-level grades and is succeeding in more than 3,000 classrooms across the country. Success in a Modules classroom is enabled by these key elements: Systemic Learning The Synergistic Modules system follows a “systemic” methodology with the goal of revolutionizing the method by which students are taught. Our systemic approach is unique in middle school education, utilizing a combination of curriculum, hands-on activities, teacher enablement, and learning environment to ensure successful teaching and learning takes place. A New Way to Learn Student-directed Synergistic Modules curriculum gives students the responsibility for their own learning, while the interactive curriculum and hands-on activities engage and motivate them to learn. In addition, Modules students work cooperatively in pairs, practicing valuable skills such as communication and teamwork. A New Way to Teach Teachers are the irreplaceable component of the Modules classroom. THE MODULESCurriculum in a Synergistic Modules classroom is based on Modules – each an intensive seven-session exploration of the Module topic. Modules are delivered at self-suffi cient workstations that accommodate everything students need to complete their activities.

Multimedia Curriculum Module content is delivered to students through an interactive multimedia curriculum. Video, text, graphics, and animations explain concepts and direct activities while on-screen evaluations and assessments record student comprehension at different intervals.

Integration Module topics cover a broad range, from Animals to Weights & Measures. Every Module, regardless of the topic, integrates elements of math, science, technology, careers, and language arts.

Hands-on Activities The Synergistic Modules system is a hands-on curriculum. Every Module includes activities that enable students to explore and apply newly learned concepts.

Cooperative Learning Students in the Modules work cooperatively in pairs to complete the curriculum and activities, adding teamwork and communication to the valuable lessons they’re learning.
