C-LEVEL INTERACTION

Information technology today goes beyond improved efficiency and higher capacity. It even goes beyond traditional provision of in-formation. IT has evolved to technology and is a crucial part of the primary business and the main driver of existing and new business. In addition to the chief information officer (CIO) also other c-level executives like CDOs, CEOs, COOs, CMOs, CHROs and commis-sioners get enthusiastic for the added value of technology. This requires a good inter-action at the highest level. On CIODAY this cross-functional view on IT has always been a central theme and will be emphasized even more strongly in 2019.

The themes of the sessions are derived from the Digital Acceleration Index (DAI), a struc-tured way to help organisations assess their digital maturity. For many years now the DAI is successfully used in the selection process of the CIO of the Year Award.Insights from knowledge programs that ICT Media carries out with top- CIOs and part-ners, like High-Performance Digital Organi-sation, are also used to set up the CIODAY program.

FORMAT CIODAY 2019

CIODAY is the main annual network event for those at the very top of the demand side of the multi-billion IT market. This two day event in the Amsterdam Beurs van Berlage is the annual meeting for more than 700 CIOs, IT VPs and/or IT directors. The statistics show that the buyer’s side of the mar-ket is always extremely well represented (around 70 percent).Numerous sessions are being held, such as an exclusive Pre-conference Program, VIP Dinner and plenary sessions. The plenary sessions also feature world class speakers. Furthermore the days are characterised by inspiring Discus-sion Table sessions, in depth Expert and Theme Sessions, an innovation tour and the annual announcement of the CIO of the Year.

Subthemes:Besides the main theme of CIODAY 2019, the event features several subthemes that focus on subjects that are high on the agenda of the target group. For partners there is an enor-mous opportunity to address these CIO challenges and claim thought leadership.

WHO’S OUR AUDIENCE?

CIODAY is the yearly event for CIOs and executives in-volved in topics such as governance, sourcing, IT strategy, innovation, labor market and new social and economic trends. A Discussion Table Session is also an ideal way for partners to make contact with their target group. A community cannot flourish without interac-tion and the exchange of knowledge. That is why ICT Media and its partners offer members of the CIO community to take part in Expert or Theme Sessions for CIOs.Executives of a number of organisations enter into discussions on topical subjects. And after an introductory presentation by an expert or client, words soon begin to flow in response to inspirational propositions. An Expert Ses-sion is usually presented by one vendor while a Theme Session is presented by a selection of vendors working in a so called eco-system.
