Arriving by car
From Temple Way, at the Royal Bank of Scotland building, turn left into Avon Street.Take the second left into New Kingsley Road,there is a car park immediately on your left. Alternative car parks are at Gardiner Haskins which is just a little further along on the left hand side. From the car park then walk down Anvil Street and the Kaplan Building will be on your right.
Arriving by Ferry
Nearest stop: Temple Quay
Arriving by train
Exit the station to the right (side exit) toward Temple Quay Central. Use the pedestrian walkway through the Temple Quay open air car park and cross the metal bridge over the river.
Nearest stations: Bristol Temple Meads Train Station – 2 min walk.
Arriving by bus
There are various bus routes you can take to get to Kaplan Bristol.

Academic Support If you need to talk to your tutor about the course subject matter itself, like theories or understanding accounting principles, then academic support can help you. Use the ‘Contact a tutor’ option on your course in MyKaplan to get in touch with us. Our academic support team are available during the following GMT UK times:

Dress CodeThere is no formal dress code for students – we simply ask you to wear clothes which are non-offensive and comfortable. The majority of students wear jeans and a T-shirt.
InternetAll Kaplan centres have Wi-Fi broadband, so you can bring your laptop and log-on during your breaks if you wish.
BreaksYour specific class times will be shown on your course timetable, however it is normal to have a short break during each session and lunch time is 13.00 – 14.00 each day.
There are refreshment areas and vending machines within the centre. You can also purchase food and drink at a number of local outlets and supermarkets nearby. Alternatively, you can bring a packed lunch. We’re reducing our impact on the environment by removing single-use plastic cups from all of our centres. Please bring a reusable water bottle to class so that you can refill from one of our water coolers.
HomeworkStudying in your own time is an important element of all our courses. This is likely to start from day one and increase greatly towards the exams.
Homework cont.Your tutor will provide guidance and highlight key areas for you to focus on, MyKaplan now includes a ‘homework’ resource to help you structure homework and study outside of the classroom.
StationeryYou are advised to bring the following items to class with you:
Large notepad
Calculator
Pens, pencils, ruler, rubber, highlighter pen
Course materials – provided on the first day of each course
Heath & SafetyYour tutor will explain the Fire Evacuation and alarm testing procedures on the first day of your course.
Please ensure you sign the class register each day and inform your tutor if you need to leave early so we can account for you in case of emergency or evacuation.
Also, if you are a sponsored student we are under obligation to report you as absent to your training manager if you have not signed the register.
If you are unsure of any procedures or information, please speak to reception or your tutor who will be able to assist you.

Do you feel like you’d benefit from guidance? Our coaching system* is dedicated to keeping you on track and making sure you succeed.
• We will monitor how well you’re doing in your course, and use data to identify any key problem areas and step in when you need support.
• We’ll give targeted recommendations and suggestions on how to make the most of your study time.
• Acting as your personal mentor, your Coach will be your point of contact during your studies.
• We encourage that you turn to them and build a strong relationship.
You’ll get pastoral support from your Coach, which means receiving extra information and advice on study tips to help you complete your course on schedule and. generally have a more positive learning experience.

Click on the course title to access your course features and learning content.
Click on the ‘course content’ link in the blue navigation bar to seethe table of contents for your course. The table of contents is organised to follow yourcourse programme. Click on a content item in the main panel to view it.

Another news update post
A set of dashboards for online test results is available for tutors and students. The dashboards allow
you to access more granular detail about student performance in tests, such as correct/incorrect
answers for individual questions and performance by topics within the course.
The dashboards are available for ACCA, CIMA, ACA , AAT and ATT courses.

If you have any problems please visit the Help & Support link in the blue navigation bar. You can access FAQs and information on how to get help from our Student Services and Academic Support teams.
Many courses include pre-course work designed to make sure you are fully prepared to start studying towards a specific exam. Make sure you log into MyKaplan before your course starts to check out any pre-course guidance and complete the initial assessment (if relevant).
This will make things much easier from day 1 of your course and give you best possible chance of success.

Pre Coursework
Please make sure that you click on the ‘end assessment’ button at the end of your Knowledge Checks, Tests and Online Mocks on MyKaplan. Only by doing this will your result and progress be correctly recorded.
As well as your formal course content, Kaplan students have access to Kaplan VideoBank – a searchable repository of bite-sized videos covering both technical topics and study skills. Access VideoBank from the Course content link in your course. Browse and search our curated videos as and when you need to support your understanding of specific topics.
Once you have access MyKaplan, keep your details up to date in ‘My Account’. Then we can fully support you during your studies. Check out the full instructions on how to update your details.
Access to your MyKaplan course(s) is based on the optimal time to complete a course and sit the exam. Our research shows that there is an optimal period in which to complete your studies and final exam. Prolonging studies or delaying your final exam can significantly impact your chances of passing.
MyKaplan course expiry dates are set based on this research (with a little bit of extra time added just in case you need to resit). Details can be found in our core T&Cs.
