A victorious achievement
The 75.75 m (248’6”) Ocean Victory broke
a number of records at the time of her
launch. She was the largest Feadship
to date in terms of volume, with a beam
of 13.60 m (44’7”), and the first custom
Feadship to be completed by the Makkum
yard of Koninklijke De Vries
Scheepsbouw. Incredibly for a
super yacht of such technological and
aesthetic sophistication, Ocean Victory
was finished and outfitted in a record
time of just fifteen months between hull
construction and launch. And she is
also the first Feadship to have her own
hairdressing salon.
Ocean Victory features a stunning interior
from the boards of French interior designer
Alberto Pinto, which accommodates
twelve people in the highest degree of
comfort and style. While many different
themes are brilliantly explored throughout
the yacht, the overall style is nautical
with a layout that is conducive to
family life. A summer house atmosphere
ensures the huge spaces retain exactly
the right sense of warmth. Meanwhile,
a wide palette of colours generates a
quiet ambience and is easy on the eye.
Ocean Victory sets new standards in
terms of onboard entertainment and
relaxation, with a cinema, a full Crestron
system in all luxury spaces (including
the outside decks), a health club with
gym and dedicated outside platform,
sauna, hammam/steam and massage
rooms, a giant swimming platform and
a massive lazarette housing three
tenders and three water scooters.
Sit down and relax The first of three saloons onboard Ocean
Victory, the main lounge [22] typifies
the comfortable ambiance and natural
atmosphere that is the yacht’s hallmark.
Huge windows at the level of the settees
offer panoramic vistas while the ribbed
ceilings are gloss lacquered to look like
marble. Leather, cotton, varnished wood
and other simple materials are combined
with a host of sophisticated details such
as the Oriental embroidery on the
cushions. A similar theme continues
in the outdoor aft deck area [21], with a
variation of natural colours and materials.
The subtle application of ribbons on the
cushions adds another characteristic
touch.

natural dining Located forward of the main lounge in an
open-plan arrangement is this magnificent
dining room [23]. Diners enjoy a
sophisticated ambience within a natural
mood created by a decor of butterfly
wings, traditionally made in Brazil. The
lovely silk and wool geometrical carpet
was specially designed by Alberto Pinto.
Immense pieces of artwork on the
forward wall and the sides of the zone
between the lounge and dining room
also create a distinctive feel.

Forward thinking
The magnificent owner’s stateroom [19]
displays remarkable floor-to-ceiling
joinery and incorporates a bedroom,
two bathrooms [17-18], two dressing
rooms [15-16] and a separate office
[14]. Here the wood is tinted sycamore
veneer and plane tree for the walls and
the furniture, with lots of details making
the decor even more special in the
cornices, buttons and cymae mouldings.
A unique geometric embroidery has been
designed for the pillows and covering of a
bed that enjoys resplendent views through
the sloping wheelhouse-like windows.

rooms with views The six guest staterooms [26-28-30-32-
34-36] are located in a prime real estate
area on the main deck, with excellent
views through the large windows. Each
guestroom has an ambiance of its own
within a similar chromatic field of natural
colours, and various combinations of
zebrano wood or rosewood with woven
sycamore veneer. Each suite has a very
large bathroom [27-29-31-33-35-37]
with a bath, giant shower and separate
toilet surrounded by rare ‘picture stone’
marble. The sensational windows above
the baths offer an unrivalled seascape
while taking a soak.

See the world The bridge deck lounge [5] is
comparatively small inside so as to
optimise the space outside. All the
windows are full length and with the
double doors open to the aft deck [4]
(95 percent of which is under cover)
this is a spectacular spot to wile away
a sunny afternoon and a very popular
place for al fresco dining. The two large
rotating coffee tables are finished in a
glossy cracked ivory lacquer and nestle
between oversized ‘corbeille’ sofas in
a semicircular arrangement. Note the
lovely linen curtains in two soft hues of
light blue and ivory.

Sun and shade Ocean Victory’s owners dedicated a
great deal of time and effort to tailoring
the functionality and aesthetics of the
yacht to their personal tastes. Bespoke
highlights include the beautiful high
gloss teak and teak windscreen on the
sun deck [1], which is a fabulous place
for sunbathing and casual dining under
the shade [2]. The contraflow swimming
pool [3] on this deck warms up from
20 degrees to 38 degrees in just half
an hour.

Mind, body and soul Non-traditional interior delights are
taken very seriously onboard Ocean
Victory. While many modern superyachts
have a gymnasium [44], few have a
fold-out balcony so exercisers can
watch the world go by while training.
The fabulous steam room [40]
showcases hammered and polished
grey stone in a pure geometrical design.
And the phenomenal twelve-person
movie theatre [45] features giant custom
sofa beds with leather details, set against
a backdrop of natural canvas walls
nailed with natural leather buttons.
