On February 22, 1981, 31-year old Juanita Boyd was reported missing. On February 28, 1981 Juanita was found in the trunk of her vehicle, a green 1970 Pontiac Catalina, which was located in a field near a wooded area east of Forrester Road, north of the Indiana Toll Road in LaPorte County, Indiana.

On April 12, 2003, Anthony Cheesborough was driving a stolen vehicle that he and accomplices had just taken in a residence robbery and abduction. For an unknown reason, Mr. Cheeseborough’s accomplices fired into the stolen vehicle, striking him in the head and body. He died on April 15, 2003.

On June 26, 2006, Keith Johnson, age 32, was shot at 3217 Sutherland Avenue and taken to a hospital where he later died. He had been contacted several times by his former girlfriend, who claimed he fathered her child and he needed to pay support. He went to confirm the existence of a child when he became involved in an argument with her boyfriend, who shot him. The boyfriend’s identity has been determined, but insufficient evidence prevented charges being filed.

Alejandro Santos, age 24, was assaulted on October 7, 2006, outside the LaPosada Restaurant at 2105 W. Washington. A few minutes later he was intentionally struck by a pickup truck in the alley between Belmont and Sheffield. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

On August 29, 2004, Francisco Morales was seen struggling with a Hispanic male after a shot was fired, striking Morales in the chest. The incident occurred on the parking lot of the liquor store at 3374 W. Michigan Street. The suspect picked up a handgun and ran eastbound through the alley north of W. Michigan Street. The suspect had black hair and wore a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

After the reddish vehicle stopped, Bryan approached the vehicle on foot and was shot and killed by the occupant(s) of the vehicle.

Albert Lee was beaten in his residence on October 24, 2001. The perpetrators kicked open a door and then attacked the elderly gentleman. Mr. Lee’s wife returned home to find the beaten victim, and she summoned the authorities. Mr. Lee was transported to the hospital where he recovered sufficiently to enter a nursing home. Mr. Lee died of his injuries on November 13, 2002.
