A True Village Auction

Once again, the spirit of community that infuses everything we do has led to an outpouring of contributions from members to make our third annual silent auction a success. Thank you to everyone who donated so generously. The funds we raise through our Anniversary Celebration and Benefit provide essential support for the services and initiatives that make the Village singular.

How the Silent Auction Works:

1. At the June 5 event, there will be clipboards and pens with every item so you can write your bid.

1. Keep an eye on your favorite items so you can enter another bid if someone has outbid you.

2. Since several of the items are packages of activities that you can enjoy with a group, you might want to form a “cartel” with some of your friends and bid with the group’s resources.

3. This year we’ve added four BUY IT NOW opportunities (A 3 night Palm Springs Winter Getaway; Goodman Theatre – 4 Fabulous House Seats and Backstage Tour and Dinner; Progressive Dinner for 6 at Chicago’s top restaurants: Girl and the Goat, Momotaro, Duck Duck Goat, and Swift & Sons, and a one week stay in England at a 3-bedroom cottage in the idyllic Cotswolds) for the bidder who knows what they want now!

4. This year we’ve added an opportunity to BUY A SPOT-Secure a place or two for Bears Tickets, a fabulous party featuring a Tour of Golf Memorabilia, a Breakfast with Hon. Jan Schakowsky, and a Tour of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab!

5. Bidding will cease at precisely at 6:30 PM at which time you can check the bidding sheet to determine if you have won.

6. We request that you pay for your item(s) at the conclusion of the program at 8:00 PM (check or credit card – Visa, MC, Discover).

7. Note: Several items have restrictions on when they may be used. 8. Bids placed lower than the Opening Bid will not be accepted.
