Instruments and controls:Every part of the Swift’s cockpit is designed to make driving easy and enjoyable. 1. The meter cluster combines high-legibility meters with a liquid-crystal display that gives essential information such as fuel consumption and driving range on remaining fuel. When the meters are illuminated, light passes through their crystal-look acrylic graduations, creating a sporty, stylish look.2. The Swift has a keyless push start system. Just carry a small transmitter in a bag or pocket, and you can start the engine by simply pushing a button on the instrument panel*1. You can also use the keyless-start transmitter to lock and unlock the doors.3. A tilt- and telescope-adjustable steering wheel lets you easily find a comfortable position for your arms and shoulders. Built-in audio control buttons allow you to make audio selections and adjustments without taking your hands off the steering wheel. If you choose the GLX grade, there are also built-in buttons for a cruise control system, which makes highway driving more relaxing by allowing you to release the accelerator pedal.4. The automatic transmission has an easy-to-grip shift knob that adds a natural feeling to gearshifts.

K12B 1.2-litre petrol engine:An available K12B 1.2-litre petrol engine has intake and exhaust variable valve timing, which not only ensures fuel efficiency but also promotes torque at low and mid-range speeds, so you enjoy smooth, quick response and brisk acceleration. The petrol engine’s environmental credentials include fuel consumption of just 5.0L/100km and CO2 emissions of just 116g/km. And if you choose the manual transmission with the petrol engine, an optionally available Engine Auto Stop Start System improves environmental performance even further, cutting fuel consumption to 4.9L/100km and CO2 emissions to 113g/km by stopping the engine from using fuel while the car is stationary.

D13A 1.3-litre diesel engine:An available D13A 1.3-litre diesel engine has common-rail fuel injection and an intercooled turbocharger for great performance. It also incorporates new advances for fuel economy. The diesel engine's environmental credentials include fuel consumption of just 4.2L/100km and CO2 emissions of just 109g/km. And optionally available Engine Auto Stop Start System improves environmental performance even further, cutting fuel consumption to 4.1L/100km and CO2 emissions to 106g/km.

Suspension:The suspension system reflects the benefits of extensive testing on the diverse road surfaces of Europe. Working with the Swift’s light, highly rigid body, it limits body roll to ensure a smooth ride together with the kind of stability that inspires great confidence in the driver.

The compact dimensions house such smartly utilized space for passengers and luggage, you’ll be surprised at how much you can comfortably fit inside. Likewise, for small items that you need at hand, the new Swift has an abundance of ingeniously placed compartments. The solution may come as a delightful surprise, but it’s hardly a mystery. Suzuki, after all, is a leader in creating compact cars that put more zest in life.

Cabin roominess:Although it’s manageably compact on the outside, the Swift offers ample legroom, shoulder room, and headroom. Even rear-seat passengers enjoy plenty of legroom thanks to innovative contours in the back of each front seat and maximized space under each front seat. There’s a good deal of luggage space behind the rear seat. And Suzuki innovations let you expand the luggage space in various ways.

Split-folding rear seat:A 60:40 split-folding rear seat is the key to flexible use of space in the Swift. By folding both sides of the rear seat, you can create a more capacious luggage area. With the larger portion folded, there’s room for large luggage items and one rear passenger. And with the smaller portion folded, there’s room for long luggage items and two rear passengers.

Stability assistance:An ESP® (Electronic Stability Program) is standard with every Swift grade. It helps you stay in control by monitoring data from sensors and automatically applying control to the engine and brakes to suppress wheelslip and skidding. If you choose the automatic transmission, the ESP also makes hill starts safer and easier by preventing the Swift from rolling backward when you move your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal.

Airbags and whiplash-mitigating front seats:For extra protection in the event of a mishap, every grade of Swift has seven airbags: front, side, and curtain airbags for the driver and passengers plus a knee airbag for the driver. There’s an airbag cutoff function for the front passenger seat. The Swift even helps to reduce the risk of whiplash thanks to a front-seat design that supports the head and neck in the event of a rear impact.

Body:The Swift’s body combines fuel-saving lightness with exceptional occupant protection thanks to extensive use of high-strength grades of steel.
