LIVEWIRE A SUPPLEMENT TO OKLAHOMA LIVING FEBRUARY 2016 | VOLUME 67 ISSUE 2 | PUBLISHED FOR MEMBERS OF TRI-COUNTY ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE CEO VIEW System Upgrades By Jack L. Perkins TCEC has made significant improvements to its system infrastructure in recent years. We will continue to do so in 2016. These investments in our system help improve the safety and reliability of our electrical system, some of which is more than fifty years old. We have recently completed or will complete substations near Texhoma, Boise City, Keyes, east of Hardesty and west of Hough. Through the process of building some of these substations, we’re able to eliminate others. Building the Keyes substation allowed us to streamline voltage in Keyes, reducing the amount of inventory we have to keep on hand and simplifying the complexity of our system. We will also be converting voltages in the towns of Texhoma and Boise City. Again, this improves the reliability of the service we offer our members. As a cooperative, we are committed to improving the quality of life for those we serve. Investing in our system infrastructure to continue to provide reliable electric service is one of the ways we do that. n n o one likes it when their power goes out. TCEC members can help ensure they receive notification of planned outages and other factors that may impact their electric service by ensuring the cooperative has the best phone number, mailing address and email address to reach them. When calling TCEC to report a power outage or make a payment, members can provide their phone number for faster account look up. TCEC regularly conducts surveys and focus groups to gather member feedback on its performance. Members must have valid contact information on file to participate in these efforts. System UpgradesBy Jack L. Perkins

TCEC has made significant improvements to its system infrastructure in recent years.

Investing in our system infrastructure to continue to provide reliable electric service is one of the ways we do that. n

TCEC regularly conducts surveys and focus groups to gather member feedback on its performance. Members must have valid contact information on file to participate in these efforts. By answering the phone or responding to the email inquiry, members are helping to improve
