BackgroundA lifebuoy is an essential piece oflife saving equipment commonlyfound around many beaches,harbours, piers, lakes and riverwalkways. People’s lives are being put at risk by vandalsbeing put at risk by vandalswho are stealing and damagingthem.

Lifebuoys normally require regularinspection to ensure that they do not fall foul of misuse, theft orvandalism. Sentry electronically monitors the presenceof a lifebuoy and water rescuedevices within their housing.
