A special message to you:
The City of Santa Ana is pleased to make this 2020 Census Kids Activity Book available to you and all your
classmates. The activity book invites you to explore all the reasons why you count…your wonderful quali-
ties, favorite activities, interests and talents that make you unique and valuable. You are important to your
family, your friends and your community!
The Activity Book gives you the opportunity to learn about the 2020 Census and why it is important that you
and all your family members are counted. Why? Because your participation can make a difference in how
much money Santa Ana receives from the federal government and how it is used for hospitals, playgrounds,
schools, roads, housing and other important community services and programs.
We hope you enjoy this book and share what you’ve learned with your family. The 2020 Census begins on
April 1, 2020 and our goal is for each person living in Santa Ana to be counted! Together we all count. Let’s
make sure Santa Ana counts too!
